Abstract

This research is in the background of the researcher's concern about the existence of wayang beber which is also the culture of the Indonesian nation that is almost extinct, the preservation of wayang beber in Jakarta with the aim of reviving the art of wayang beber show. A community of lovers of wayang beber in the capital city of Jakarta and currently known to the community as WBM (Wayang Beber Metropolitan), trying to preserve the wayang beber. The theories used are social construction theory, Symbolic Interactive Theory, and creative thinking. and has the essence of an activity that is a human trait, ie communication or exchange of symbols that are given meaning. The paradigm used in this research is constructivist paradigm, where the researcher is in the object in the research. With data collection techniques in the form of observation involved, in-depth interviews as well as secondary data collection through documentation. The result of this research was obtained Knowledge of Innovative Communication Chenel Puppet on Beber Metropolitan Puppet Community in Jakarta and also as the source of Innovation knowledge is Dalang Wayang Beber Metropolitan in this case brother of Samuel. The message delivered is Wayang Sandal Jepit (WANGSIT) and is also an idea of a new figure in puppet in Indonesia. Wayang is made of a garbage that was not initially used, although in use became a means to protect the feet that place under, but used as a medium to become wayang figures. Communication Channels and Social Systems Media Innovations The Wayang Performing Arts is an interpersonal channel because this communication channel is done to get feedback from the audience in the wayang beber performing arts, and this response is one of the signs of communication channel success in wayang beber performing arts. Confirmation of Media Innovation of Puppet Art Performances can also be said as the Effect of all result of their interview concluding to accept the change made by the dalang in Metropolitan Puppet Community and Beber community. Keywords: Communicative Chanel, Symbolic Interactive, Social Construction, Wayang Beber, Metropolitan Beber Wayang Community, and Wayang Sandal Jepit----Penelitian ini di latar belakangi oleh keprihatinan peneliti tentang keberadaan wayang beber yang juga merupakan kebudayaan bangsa Indonesia yang hampir punah, adanya pelestarian wayang beber di Jakarta dengan tujuan menghidupkan kembali seni pertunjukan wayang beber. Sebuah komunitas pencinta wayang beber di kawasan ibukota jakarta dan saat ini dikenal komunitas tersebut dengan sebutan WBM (Wayang Beber Metropolitan), berusaha untuk melestarikan wayang beber. Teori yang digunakan adalah teori konstruksi sosial, Teori Interaksional simbolik, dan creative thinking. serta memiliki esensi suatu aktivitas yang merupakan ciri manusia, yakni komunikasi atau pertukaran simbol yang diberi makna. Paradigma yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah paradigma konstruktivis, dimana peneliti berada didalam obyek yang di teliti. Dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa pengamatan terlibat, wawancara mendalam dan juga pengumpulan data sekunder melalui dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini didapatkan Pengetahuan Media Komunikasi Inovatif Wayang Pada Komunitas Wayang Beber Metropolitan di Jakarta dan juga sebagai sumber pengetahuan Inovasi adalah Dalang Wayang Beber Metropolitan dalam hal ini saudara Samuel. Pesan yang disampaikan adalah Wayang Sandal Jepit (WANGSIT) dan juga merupaka gagasan tokoh baru dalam pewayangan di Indonesia. Wayang tersebut terbuat dari sebuah sampah yang awalnya tidak digunakan, walaupun di gunakan menjadi sebuah sarana untuk melindung kaki yang tempatnya di bawah, namun dijadikan sebagai media menjadi tokoh wayang. Saluran Komunikasi dan Sistem Sosial Inovasi Media Seni Pertunjukan Wayang adalah saluran interpersonal karena saluran komunikasi ini dilakukan untuk mendapatkan umpan balik dari para penonton dalam seni pertunjukan wayang beber, dan respon inilah yang menjadi salah satu tanda keberasilan saluran komunikasi pada seni pertunjukan wayang beber. Konfirmasi Inovasi Media Seni Pertunjukan Wayang dapat dikatakan juga sebagai Efek dari seluruh hasil wawancara yang dilakukan mereka berkesimpulan menerima perubahan yang dilakukan oleh dalang dalam Komunitas Wayang Beber Metropolitan dan masyarakat.
