Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Work Environment, Career Development and Welfare on Job Satisfaction at PT XYZ. In this study, the population taken was PT XYZ's permanent employees totaling 500 employees. However, not all populations are used as objects of research so that the sample of this research is 222 employees taken by a stratified random sampling technique, systematic random sampling and accidental sampling. Based on the results of hypothesis testing using a multiple linear regression analysis model shows the work environment and welfare variables have no significant effect on job satisfaction, while career development variables have a significant effect on job satisfaction. The coefficient of determination test results obtained by the magnitude of the influence of the independent variable on the dependent variable of 54.2%. Based on the results of simultaneous test results obtained that the significance value is less than alpha (0.05) so that the independent variables simultaneously have a significant effect. For dimensions of career development variables that have a strong influence on job satisfaction are dimensions of progress towards achieving career goals with a value of 0.753. And dimensions that have a strong enough influence on job satisfaction are dimensions of promotion with a value of 0.558.
