Abstract
The COVID-19 pandemic condition affects the television news production process on Liputan 6 Siang SCTV. The limitations due to the pandemic faced by the Liputan 6 SCTV editors, especially Liputan 6 Siang, made the editorial management design a television news production strategy during the pandemic. The author examines the Liputan 6 Siang SCTV news production strategy during the covid 19 pandemic using a qualitative paradigm, a descriptive research approach using Planning, Organizing, Actuation, and Controling (POAC). The data collection method used was in-depth interviews with 6 informants and a checklist for observing news production activities at Liputan 6 Siang during the pandemic. The results of the study found that PT. Surya Cira Media, Tbk designed the Policy and Standard Operational Procedures (SOP) for the COVID 19 SCTV Prevention Health Protocol which aims to guide activities during the pandemic in the work environment and the division of work time and work teams to prevent the spread of the covid 19 virus. Television news production strategy Liputan 6 Siang during the covid 19 pandemic was carried out using the Trial & Error strategy, where in the early period of the pandemic the right production mechanism had not been established until at the end of 2020 a television news production strategy was found that was in accordance with the state of the pandemic experienced. Starting from the planning stage, organizing tasks, implementing to supervising news production in Liputan 6 SCTV, especially Liputan 6 Siang, this policy is guided by the policy. Keywords: Strategy, News Production, Liputan 6 Siang, SCTV, POAC. Kondisi pandemic covid 19 berpengaruh terhadap proses produksi berita televisi di Liputan 6 Siang SCTV. Keterbatasan akibat pandemi yang dihadapi redaksi Liputan 6 SCTV khususnya Liputan 6 Siang membuat manajemen redaksi merancang strategi produksi berita televisi di masa pandemi. Penulis meneliti strategi produksi berita Liputan 6 Siang SCTV selama pandemi covid 19 dengan menggunakan paradigma kuliatatif, pendekatan penelitian deskriptif dengan menggunakan analisis Planning, Organizing, Actuation, dan Controling (POAC) - Perencanaan, Pengorganisasian, Pelaksanaan dan Pengawasan. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah wawancara mendalam kepada 6 orang informan dan melakukan ceklis observasi kegiatan produksi berita di Liputan 6 Siang di masa pandemi. Hasil penelitian ditemukan bahwa PT. Surya Cira Media, Tbk merancang Policy dan Standard Operational Procedures (SOP) Protokol Kesehatan Pencegahan Covid 19 SCTV yang bertujuan sebagai pedoman beraktivitas pada masa pandemi di lingkungan kerja dan adanya pembagian waktu kerja dan tim kerja untuk mencegah penyebaran virus covid 19. Strategi produksi berita televisi Liputan 6 Siang selama masa pandemi covid 19 dilakukan dengan strategi Trial & Error, di mana pada periode awal pandemi belum terbentuk mekanisme produksi yang tepat hingga pada akhir tahun 2020 ditemukan suatu strategi produksi berita televisi yang sesuai dengan keadaan pandemi yang dialami. Mulai dari tahap perencanaan, pengorganisasian tugas, pelaksanaan hingga pengawasan produksi berita di Liputan 6 SCTV khususnya Liputan 6 Siang berpedoman pada kebijakan tersebut.
