Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of motivation on the performance, the effect of performance on the career development and motivation influence on the career development. Motivation is composed of a need for achievement, need for power, and the need for affiliates. Performance consists of properties, behavior, competence, achievement of objectives, and the potential for improvement. Career development consists of equations career, supervisory issues, awareness of career opportunities, interest and career satisfaction. Type of research is associative causal research. The sample in this equal to 63 permanent employee, with non probability sampling. To know responder to motivation, performance, and career development, use descriptive data analysis techniques to determine the effect of motivation on the performance, the effect of the performance to career development, and the influence of motivation on the career development of the techniques used in data analysis using SPSS ver.20 verification. Motivational influence on performance is significant, amounting to 62.25%, the impact of performance on the career development is significant, amounting to 10.82%, the effect of motivation on the career development is significant, amounting to 29.48% Keywords: motivation, work performance, career development ABSTRAK Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh motivasi terhadap kinerja, pengaruh kinerja terhadap pengembangan karir dan pengaruh motivasi terhadap pengembangan karir. Motivasi terdiri dari kebutuhan berprestasi, kebutuhan akan kekuasaan, dan kebutuhan akan affiliasi. Kinerja terdiri dari sifat, perilaku, kompetensi, pencapaian tujuan, dan potensi perbaikan. Pengembangan karir terdiri dari persamaan karir, masalah pengawasan, kesadaran akan kesempatan karir, minat dan kepuasan karir. Jenis penelitian yang dilakukan adalah penelitian asosiatif kausal. Sampel dalam sebesar 63 Pegawai Tetap, dengan metode sampling non probability sampling. Untuk mengetahui tanggapan responden terhadap motivasi, kinerja, dan pengembangan karir, digunakan teknik analisa data deskriptif. Untuk mengetahui pengaruh motivasi terhadap kinerja, pengaruh kinerja terhadap pengembangan karir, dan pengaruh motivasi terhadap pengembangan karir maka digunakan teknik analisa data verifikatif dengan menggunakan SPSS ver.20. Pengaruh motivasi terhadap kinerja adalah signifikan, yaitu sebesar 62.25%, pengaruh kinerja terhadap pengembangan karir adalah signifikan, yaitu sebesar 10.82%, pengaruh motivasi terhadap pengembangan karir adalah signifikan, yaitu sebesar 29.48% Kata kunci : motivasi, prestasi kerja, pengembangan karir
