Abstract

ABSTRAK Universitas Mercu Buana Tugas Proposal Sarjana ( S1 ) Tahun 2017 MENURUNKAN WAKTU SETUP DALAM PROSES MOLD CHAGE OVER DENGAN MENGGUNAKAN METODE SMED ( SINGLE MINUTES EXCHANGE OF DIES ) Vicky Ferdinand Sijabat NIM : 41616310050 Mold change over merupakan proses yang terdiri dari proses setup mold, proses setup mesin dan proses approve produk oleh QC. PT. Bumimulia Indah Lestari merupakan perusahaan yang begerak di bidang plastic injection, dimana proses setup mold merupakan kegiatan sehari – hari yang di lakukan. Proses setup mold di plant Tupperware di PT. Bumimulia Indah lestari memiliki masalah, yang dimana dalam proses setup mold memakan waktu lebih dari standart yang ditentukan. Proses analisa menggunakan tools yang mendukung dengan menggunakan metode SMED. Yang dimana dengan metode ini, kita dapat mem - breakdown masalah menggunaan metode SMED untuk mengatasi lamanya proses setup mold di Plant Tupperware. Dengan mengelompokan internal setup dan eksternal setup sesuai dengan apa yang ada dalam metode SMED kita dapat menurunkan waktu setup mold dari 300 menit menjadi 200 menit atau sekitar reduce 55.5%. Kata kunci : Setup mold, Metode SMED, cycle time, Internal – eksternal setup. ABSTRACT Mold change over is a process consisting of mold setup process, machine setup process and product approve process by QC. PT. Bumimulia Indah Lestari is a company that stir in the field of plastic injection, where the process of mold setup is a daily activity that is done. The process of mold setup at Tupperware plant at PT. Bumimulia Indah lestari has a problem, which in the process of mold setup takes more than the specified standard. The analysis process uses the supporting tools using the SMED method. Which with this method, we can breakdown the problem using the SMED method to overcome the length of the mold setup process at Plant Tupperware. By grouping the internal setup and external setup according to what is in the SMED method we can decrease the setup time of the mold from 300 minutes to 200 minutes or around reduce 55.5%.
