Abstract

Merchandise products are products that are in great demand by the public and the types of industries that are driving the development of national creative industries with a variety of types. This can be seen in various types of exhibition events such as the bazaar market which is often held in big cities, especially Jakarta. This is good news especially for local brands that are just starting their businesses. Therefore we need a media that accommodates the display function and module settings for merchandise products and provides convenience in mobilizing and installing module settings as well as storage, making it easier for users to follow market bazaars that move locations. The design method adopted by David Kelley with the stages of discovery, interpretation, ideation, experimentation, and evolution. The Compact booth and Folding system was chosen as the main principle that can provide convenience in mobilization, installation of module settings and maximum size reduction. The advantage of this design is the flexible display system with various conditions in the showroom such as the type of product, the size of the stand, and storage in a minimalist journey. In addition, the use of color and finishing can be adjusted to the tenant product branding so that it can show and support a brand. Keywords: Compact, Folding, Booth, Merchandise, Indoor, Market Produk Merchandise merupakan produk yang banyak diminati masyarakat dan jenis industri yang menjadi penggerak dalam perkembangan industri kreatif nasional dengan berbagai keragaman jenisnya. Hal tersebut terlihat berbagai jenis acara pameran seperti bazaar market yang sering di selenggarakan di kota besar khususnya Jakarta. Ini menjadi kabar baik terutama untuk local brand yang baru merintis usahanya. Oleh karena itu dibutuhkan media yang mengakomodasi fungsi display dan setting modul untuk produk merchandise serta memberi kemudahan dalam mobilisasi dan instalasi pada setting modul juga penyimpanannya, sehingga memudahkan pengguna saat mengikuti bazaar market yang berpindah-pindah lokasi. Metode perancangan yang diadopsi dari David Kelley dengan tahapan discovery, interpretation, ideation, experimentation, dan evolution. Sistem Compact booth dan Folding dipilih sebagai prinsip utama yang dapat memberikan kemudahan dalam mobilisasi, instalasi seting modul dan reduksi ukuran yang maksimal. Keunggulan pada desain ini adalah sistem display fleksibel dengan berbagai kondisi pada ruang pamer seperti jenis produk, ukuran stand, dan penyimpanan dalam perjalanan yang minimalis. Selain itu, penggunaan warna dan finishing dapat disesuaikan dengan branding produk tenant sehingga dapat menunjukkan dan mendukung suatu brand tersebut.
