Abstract

ABSTRAK PT. Indonesia Epson Industri merupakan perusahaan yang bergerak di bidang manufaktur mesin percetakan. Pada kasus ini jumlah cacat pada produk model GAGA mengalami kenaikan terutama pada kasus TOF Skew yaitu sebesar 18.02% pada bulan Januari 2020, dimana jumlah kasus cacat TOF Skew pada bulan Desember 2019 hanya sebesar 5.6%, padahal standar yang ditetapkan perusahaan untuk suatu cacat yaitu sebesar 7%. Untuk mengatsi permasalahan diatas, pada penelitian ini dilakukan perancangan pengurangan cacat dengan menggunakan metode DMAIC atau Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control dan dibantu dengan metode FMEA atau Failure Mode and Effect Analysis untuk menentukan akar permasalahan yang menyebabkan cacat TOF Skew untuk selanjutnya dilakukan perbaikan. Dari hasil penelitian maka didapatkan bahwa akar penyebab masalah TOF Skew ini adalah karena komponen Reverse Guide Middle yang benkok dikarenakan dari faktor manusia yaitu kurangnya konsentrasi dan ketidak pedulian terhadap arahan yang ada, faktor metode yaitu adanya penekanan saat proses perakitan, faktor mesin yaitu dari sisi kalibrasi yang tidak stabil karena tidak adanya standarisasi dan mesin stamping yang tidak stabil, faktor material yaitu material plat yang tipis sehingga mudah bengkok, dan faktor pengukuran yaitu tidak adanya pengukuran sebelum komponen digunakan. Kata kunci : TOF Skew, DMAIC, FMEA, Reverse Guide Middle, Perusahaan percetakan, akar permasalahan. ABSTRACT PT. Indonesia Epson Industri is a company engaged in manufacturing printing machinery. In this case, the number of defects in the GAGA model product increased, especially in the case of TOF Skew, which was 18.02% in January 2020, where the number of TOF Skew defect cases in December 2019 was only 5.6%, whereas the standard set by the company for a defect was equal to 7%. To overcome the above problems, in this study a defect reduction design was carried out using the DMAIC or Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control method and assisted with the FMEA or Failure Mode and Effect Analysis method to determine the root cause of the TOF Skew defect and then repair it. . From the results of the study it was found that the root cause of the TOF Skew problem was due to the component of the Reverse Guide Middle bent due to human factors namely lack of concentration and ignorance of existing directives, method factors namely the emphasis during the assembly process, engine factors namely in terms of calibration which is unstable due to the lack of standardization and unstable stamping machines, the material factor is thin plate material so it is easily bent, and the measurement factor is the absence of measurement before the component is used.
