Abstract

ABSTRAK PT. BTU,Tbk merupakan salah satu perusahaan yang bekerja dalam bidang kontruksi, dimana terdapat unit usaha yang bergerak dalam pembuatan tower. PT. BTU,Tbk juga merupakan perusahaan yang dipercaya oleh PLN untuk pembuatan kontruksi tower, diantaranya tower transmisi listrik . Permasalahan yang terjadi di Lini Produksi Siku adalah mengalami hambatan pada kegiatan produksi akibat kondisi tata letak yang belum sesuai dengan kriteria tata letak yang baik, dimana pengaturan tata letak setiap departemen yang belum memperhitungkan tingkat hubungan antar stasiun kerja, mengelompokan mesin berdasarkan negara makernya dan tidak memperhatikan tipe mesin nya. Hal ini menyebabkan jarak perpindahan material semakin besar, sehingga akan berdampak pada ongkos material handling yang kurang efisien. Untuk menyelesaikan permasalahan ini perlu dilakukan perancangan ulang tata letak fasilitas dengan memanfaatkan area yang tersedia secara maksimal. Metode yang digunakan untuk menyelesaikan permasalahan ini adalah metode Systematic Layout Planning dengan bantuan software Blocplan. Analisis dilakukan dengan membandingkan total jarak perpindahan material antara tata letak awal dengan tata letak usulan, yang kemudian berdampak pada perubahan ongkos material handling. Total jarak perpindahan turun menjadi 32,894 meter/hari dari 36,904 meter/hari pada tata letak awal atau terjadi penurunan sebesar 11%. Penurunan jarak menyebabkan penurunan ongkos material handling sebesar 10% dari kondisi awal, yaitu dari OMH tata letak existing sebesar Rp 5,047,559/hari menjadi Rp 4,537,905/hari. BTU, Tbk is also a company that is trusted by PLN for the construction of tower construction, including electricity transmission towers. The problem that occurs in the Steel Angle Production Line is experiencing obstacles in production activities due to layout conditions that do not yet fit the good layout criteria, where layout arrangements for each department do not take into account the level of relations between work stations, group machines according to the country of manufacture and do not pay attention engine type. This causes greater material transfer distance, so that it will have an impact on the cost of material handling that is less efficient. To solve this problem, it is necessary to redesign the layout of the facilities by making maximum use of the available area. The method used to solve this problem is the Systematic Layout Planning method with the help of Blocplan software. The analysis is done by comparing the total distance of material transfer between the initial layout with the proposed layout, which then has an impact on changes in material handling costs. The total displacement distance decreased to 32,894 meters / day from 36,904 meters / day in the existing layout or there was a decrease of 11%. The decrease in distance causes a decrease in material handling costs by 10% from the initial conditions, namely from the existing layout OMH of Rp. 5,047,559 / day to Rp. 4,537,905 / day.
