Abstract
ABSTRAK Perusahaan Flexible Packaging merupakan industri manufaktur yang bergerak di bidang kemasan untuk food maupun non-food. Proses produksi meliputi 3 bagian, yaitu: Printing, Laminating dan Finishing. Finish goods bisa dapat berbentukjumbo roll atau bag siap isi. Kemasan sangat membantu produsen dalam hal promosi serta pemasaran suatu barang. Oleh karena itu, kemasan harus mengikuti standar dan ketentuan yang disepakati bersama oleh customer dan perusahaanflexible packaging. Berdasarkan data produksi semester II - 2018 dari perusahaan flexible packaging, produk cacat dari section printing memiliki porsi terbesar dibandingkan sectionlainnya. Hasil analisa data produk cacat dari section printing menampilkanmisprint sebagai top defect dengan persentase 0,73%, hal ini memicu kebijakanmanajemen untuk melakukan pengendalian kualitas berfokus pada defect misprint dengan target < 0,5% di akhir semester I - tahun 2019. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengendalikan defect misprint menggunakanmetode DMAIC. Analisa ini berguna agar departemen produksi dapat mencapai target yang telah ditetapkan oleh manajemen. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untukmengetahui penyebab misprint, langkah perbaikan, dan hasil pada akhir tahun2019 telah terkendali. Kata kunci : Pengendalian kualitas, six sigma, DMAIC, flexible packaging ABSTRACT Flexible Packaging Company is a manufacturing industry engaged in the field of packaging, especially flexible packaging for food and non-food. The productionincludes 3 processes: Printing, Laminating and Finishing. Finish goods can be inthe form of jumbo roll or ready-to-fill bags. Packaging really helps companies forpromotion and marketing of their products. Therefore, the packaging must followthe standards and conditions agreed upon by the customer and the flexiblepackaging company. Based on 2nd semester 2018 production data from Flexible Packaging Company, defective products from the printing section have the largest portion compared toother sections. The result of data analysis, defect from the section printingdisplays the misprint as the top defect with a percentage of 0.73%, this triggersmanagement's policy to control the quality focusing on the misprint defect < 0.5%at the end of 1st semester - 2019. This study aims to control misprints defect using the DMAIC method. Thisanalysis is useful so that the production department can achieve the targets set bymanagement. The purpose of this study is to determine the cause of the misprint, the corrective steps, and estimate the results at the end of 2019 have beencontrolled.
