Abstract
Movie poster is the main and leading media campaign that deals directly with the target audience in conveying the message information before launching a film. Thus, the visualization of the poster that includes the components of verbal and non-verbal language should be given serious consideration in its design. As well as 99 movie posters of light in the sky of Europe which is released firstly on 05 December 2013. This research uses a qualitative approach by using the realm interdisciplinary because of being able to integrate the various disciplines of science in the discussion. This qualitative analysis tries to see more in the object of research that uses the concept of Islam as the ideological foundation of the meaning of the sign. While the method that is used to analyze in this research is the method of Charles Sanders Peirce's semiotic triangle concept, where the sign that is formed by a triangular relationship namely Representamen that is also called (sign) by Pierce,it relates with the object which is referred . Well, that relationship yields interpretant. The result of this research concludes that the verbal and visual appearance of the film's 99 light in the sky in Europe explains the signs of the culture and the triumph of Islam in Europe as well as the image of a noble Muslim and reflects the harmony of the characteristics of the visual appearance of a movie poster. Poster film merupakan media promosi utama dan terdepan yang berhadapan langsung dengan target audiens dalam menyampaikan informasi pesan sebelum peluncuran sebuah film. Dengan demikian, maka visualisasi poster yang mencakup komponen bahasa verbal dan non verbal harus mendapatkan perhatian yang serius dalam perancangannya. Seperti halnya poster film 99 cahaya dilangit Eropa yang secara perdana di rilis pada 05 desember 2013. Penelitian ini menggunakan Pendekatan kualitatif, dengan ranah interdisipliner karena mampu memadukan berbagai disiplin ilmu ilmu dalam pembahasannya. Analisis kualitatif disini berusaha melihat lebih dalam objek penelitian dengan konsep agama Islam sebagai landasan ideologis dalam pemaknaan tanda. Sedangkan metode yang digunakan sebagai pisau analisi dalam penelitian ini adalah metode semiotika Charles Sanders Peirce dengan konsep segitiga makna, dimana tanda dibentuk oleh hubungan segitiga yaitu Representamen yang oleh Peirce disebut juga (sign) berhubungan dengan object yang dirujuknya. Nah, hubungan tersebut membuahkan interpretant. Hasil penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa tampilan verbal dan visual dari film 99 cahaya dilangit Eropa ini menjelaskan tanda-tanda kebudayaan dan kejayaan Islam di Eropa serta citra muslim yang sangat mulia serta mencerminkan keselarasan dan keserasian karakteristik tampilan visual poster film.
