Abstract

An increase in capacity, requires the company to continue to review the productivity that has been achieved. One method to determine how effective of a process, one of them with a revisit to the design of the facility and processes. The review process is then formulated in mapping Value Stream Mapping (VSM). The current process conditions described in the current state map, then determined improvement with future state map. The VSM data, methods of improvement by conducting a review of the facility were reviewed fasilitas.Unsur is the layout of the plant (plant layout) as a procedure for setting the factory facilities to support the smooth production process. Mileage material handling too much causing activity and decreased productivity and affect the cost of removal of material. By redesigning the layout of the facility, expected to alternative design layout can be targeted. Redesigning the layout in this study using the method of Systematic Layout Planning (SLP) continued with the implementation of the design layout. Based on the results of the first implementation, then showed a significant improvement, but still not meet the target. So it would need to re- design the layout as the second proposal. From the results of the implementation of the second proposal, the capacity increase on target with the addition of machinery investment. Adanya peningkatan kapasitas, menuntut perusahaan untuk terus meninjau kembali produktivitas yang telah dicapai. Salah satu metode untuk mengetahui seberapa efektif dari suatu proses, salah satunya dengan meninjau kembali terhadap desain fasilitas dan proses. Peninjauan proses tersebut kemudian dirumuskan dalam pemetaan Value Stream Mapping (VSM). Kondisi proses saat ini digambarkan dalam current state map, kemudian ditentukan perbaikannya dengan future state map. Dari data VSM tersebut, metode perbaikannya dengan melakukan peninjauan ulang fasilitas.Unsur fasilitas yang ditinjau adalah tata letak pabrik (plant layout) sebagai tata cara pengaturan fasilitas pabrik untuk mendukung kelancaran proses produksi. Jarak tempuh material handling yang terlalu jauh menyebabkan aktivitas dan produktivitas menurun dan mempengaruhi biaya pemindahan bahan. Dengan merancang ulang tata letak fasilitas, diharapkan rancangan alternatif tata letak dapat tepat sasaran. Perancangan ulang tata letak dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode Systematic Layout Planning (SLP) dilanjutkan dengan implementasi terhadap rancangan tata letak. Berdasarkan hasil implementasi pertama, maka didapatkan hasil peningkatan yang signifikan, namun masih belum memenuhi target. Sehingga kiranya perlu kembali merancang tata letak sebagai usulan kedua. Dari hasil implementasi usulan kedua, kapasitas meningkat sesuai target dengan penambahan investasi mesin.
