Abstract
The purpose of this study is to understand and to describe the impact of compensation and employee engagement toward organizational commitment and its implementation on to the performance of the head office employees of PT XYZ Jakarta. There were 84 respondents. For Collecting the data is done by using a questionnaire. Path analysis (using smartPLS3.0) and matrix correlation analysis (using SPSS24). This study reveals that: (1) compensation and employee engagement have a significant impact on organizational commitment; (2) compensation and employee engagement have a significant impact on employee performance; (3) organizational commitment does not have a significant impact on employee performance; (4) there is no prove that organizational commitment is a mediator variable from the impact of compensation and employee engagement on employee performance. Based on matrix correlation analysis between dimensions, to improve employee performance, it is recommended to maintain and improve the following dimensions, such as; (1) financial compensation for the quality of work; (2) Dedication to employee attendance. In addition, to improve employee performance: (1), management is advised to put the concern on compensation, (2) management is advised to maintain employee loyalty. This is needed to ensure a comfortable working environment at work. Keywords: employee performance, organizational commitment, compensation, and employee engagement. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memahami dan mendeskripsikan dampak kompensasi dan employee engagement terhadap komitmen organisasional dan implementasinya terhadap kinerja karyawan kantor pusat PT XYZ Jakarta. Terdapat 84 responden. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan kuesioner. Analisis jalur (dengan menggunakan software smartPLS3.0) dan analisis korelasi matrik (dengan menggunakan software SPSS24). Studi ini mengungkapkan bahwa: (1) kompensasi dan employee engagement memiliki dampak yang signifikan terhadap komitmen organisasional; (2) kompensasi dan employee engagement memiliki dampak yang signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan; (3) komitmen organisasional tidak berdampak signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan; (4) Tidak terbukti bahwa komitmen organisasional adalah variabel mediator dari pengaruh antara kompensasi dan employee engagement terhadap kinerja karyawan. Berdasarkan analisis korelasi matrik antar dimensi, untuk meningkatkan kinerja karyawan, disarankan untuk mempertahankan dan meningkatkan dimensi berikut, seperti; (1) kompensasi finansial terhadap kualitas kerja; (2) Dedikasi terhadap kehadiran karyawan. Selain itu, untuk meningkatkan kinerja karyawan: (1), manajemen disarankan perlu memperhatikan pemberian kompensasi, (2) manajemen disarankan perlu untuk mempertahankan loyalitas karyawan. Hal ini diperlukan untuk memastikan lingkungan kerja yang nyaman di dalam bekerja. Kata kunci: kinerja karyawan, komitmen organiasasional, kompensai, dan keterikatan karyawan
