Abstract
The study aims to determine and explain the influence of transformational leadership, work environment and compensation toward job satisfaction. The type of research is used quantitative survey approach, looking at the effect of independent variables on the dependent variable. Object of the study are general functional officers at Research and Human Resources of Marine and Fishery Agency. Total number of respondent are 142 from the total population of 220 officers. Sample referring to Slovin formula with simple random sampling method. Data collection managed through interview, questionnaires and participants observations. Analysis method used in the study is path analysis. Result of the study described that transformational leadership, work environment and compensation are partially and simultaneously having significant influence toward job satisfaction. Transformational leadership is the strongest variable to influence work satisfaction. Most leveraging factor to increase job satisfaction is taken from individualized consideration dimension. Factors that need to be considered and managed well by management to improve the level of general functional officers job satisfaction that is transformational leadership variables, especially the dimensions of individualized consideration. Keywords: Leadership Transformational, Work Environment, Compensation, Job Satisfaction Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan menjelaskan pengaruh kepemimpinan transformasional, lingkungan kerja dan kompensasi terhadap kepuasan kerja. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan pendekatan survey, melihat pengaruh variabel independen terhadap variabel dependen. Objek penelitian adalah pegawai fungsional umum Badan Riset dan Sumber Daya Manusia Kelautan dan Perikanan (BRSDM-KP), dengan jumlah responden 142 orang dari total populasi sebanyak 220 orang. Sampel merujuk rumus slovin dengan metode simple random sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara, kuesioner dan participant observation. Metode analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis jalur. Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kepemimpinan transformasional, lingkungan kerja, dan kompensasi baik secara parsial maupun secara bersama-sama (simultan) berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kepuasan kerja. Kepemimpinan transformasional merupakan variabel yang paling kuat pengaruhnya terhadap kepuasan kerja. Faktor pengungkit (leverage) terkuat untuk meningkatkan kepuasan kerja adalah dimensi individualized consideration. Faktor yang perlu diperhatikan dan dikelola dengan baik oleh manajemen untuk meningkatkan tingkat kepuasan kerja fungsional umum yaitu variabel kepemimpinan transformasional terutama dimensi individualized consideration.
