Abstract
The city is an area or place where various community activities take place, and has a high density. The increase in population and the occurrence of population movements in one area will require an effort to improve road and city transportation facilities. Mass or public transportation is a quite important means of transportation for the mobility of citizens in carrying out activities of daily life. A planning system that integrates transportation modes with the use of surrounding land known as Transit Oriented Develoment (TOD). Transit Oriented Development (TOD) aims to create a safe, comfortable, pleasant and safe destination for pedestrians (walkable environment). By mixing various functions of the required travel activities can be combined to be shorter and faster. These functions are the center of commercial areas, offices, retail, services, settlements with moderate density to high density and also public open space. Key word : Transportation, Transit Oriented Development, Walkable Kota merupakan suatu kawasan ataupun tempat berlangsungnya berbagai aktivitas masyarakat, dan memiliki kepadatan yang tinggi. Adanya pertambahan penduduk dan terjadinya pergerakan penduduk dalam satu wilayah akan menuntut suatu usaha peningkatan fasilitas jalan dan angkutan kota. Transportasi massal atau umum menjadi sarana transportasi yang cukup penting untuk mobilitas warga dalam menjalankan aktivitas kehidupan sehari-hari. Sistem perencanaan yang mengintegrasi antara moda transportasi dengan pemanfaatan guna lahan sekitar yang dikenal dengan Transit Oriented Develpoment (TOD). Transit Oriented Development (TOD) memiliki tujuan untuk menciptakan tujuan yang aman, nyaman, menyenangkan dan aman bagi pejalan kaki (walkable environment). Dengan mencampurkan berbagai fungsi kegiatan perjalanan yang diperlukan dapat digabungkan menjadi lebih singkat dan cepat. Fungsi-fungsi tersebut adalah pusat area komersil, perkantoran, retail, servis, permukiman dengan kepadatan sedang hingga kepadatan tinggj dan juga ruang terbuka publik.
