Abstract

Dalam berinteraksi, manusia menjalin komunikasi dengan lingkungannya mempunyai pola tersendiri dan berbeda satu sama lain. Pola komunikasi dapat berarti gambaran tentang bagaimana keadaan komunikasi yang terjadi dalam situasi tertentu. Pola komunikasi merupakan bagian dari proses komunikasi karena pola merupakan cara atau bentuk yang dipakai seseorang dalam menyampaikan pesan dalam proses komunikasi. Media sosial saat ini bukan saja digunakan untuk mencari teman tetapi kini tidak jarang menjadi sarana transaksi bisnis prostitusi baru. Media sosial Whatsapp merupakan salah satu media yang banyak digunakan dalam praktek transaksi prostitusi online. Dengan Whatsapp PSK tidak lagi harus “mangkal” di jalan untuk menjajakan diri demi mendapatkan klien. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori pola komunikasi interpersonal yaitu model transaksional yang menggambarkan konsep komunikasi sebagai transaksi yang mengasumsikan kedua peserta komunikasi sebagai pengirim dan sekaligus juga penerima pesan. Tipe penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan metode studi kasus. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan proses observasi dan wawancara kepada para pelaku prostitusi online yang berperan sebagai “mami” dan para pekerja seks komersil. Hasil dari penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa dalam proses transaksi prostitusi online melalui Whatsapp terlihat pola komunikasi interpersonal yang yang terjadi antara PSK dan klien memiliki beberapa tahapan mulai dari perkenalan, keterlibatan, keakraban, pengrusakan sampai pada tahap pemutusan. Berdasarkan tahapan-tahapan yang dilakukan membentuk pola komunikasi interpersonal dengan model transaksional dimana dalam pola atau model ini memiliki unsur yang kompleks dan saling mempengaruhi seperti, pesan diproses secara serempak oleh kedua pihak yang berkomunikasi, baik PSK dan klien memainkan peran bergantian.Proses komunikasi tidak luput dari berbagai hambatan, dalam konteks transaksi prostitusi online hambatan yang ditemui berupa hambatan teknis yang datang dari pengaruh kondisi sinyal dan server dan hambatan semantic yang berupa perbedaan presepsi antara PSK dan klien khususnya terkait kesepakatan harga. Communication patterns can mean a picture of how the state of communication that occurs in certain situations. The pattern of communication is part of the communication process because the pattern is the way or form used by someone in conveying messages in the communication process. Today's social media is not only used to make friends but is now not uncommon to become a means of new prostitution business transactions. Whatsapp social media is one of the media that is widely used in the practice of online prostitution transactions. With Whatsapp, PSK no longer has to "hang out" on the street to sell themselves to get clients. This research uses the theory of interpersonal communication patterns, namely the transactional model that describes the concept of communication as a transaction that assumes both communication participants are the sender and the recipient of the message. The type of research used is qualitative research using case study methods. The data collection technique used a process of observation and interviews with online prostitutes who act as "mothers" and commercial sex workers. The results of this study conclude that in the process of online prostitution transactions via Whatsapp, it can be seen that the pattern of interpersonal communication that occurs between prostitutes and clients has several stages ranging from introduction, involvement, intimacy, destruction to the termination stage. Based on the stages carried out to form a pattern of interpersonal communication with a transactional model where in this pattern or model it has complex and mutually influencing elements such as, messages are processed simultaneously by both parties communicating, both sex workers and clients play alternate roles. The communication process does not escape of various obstacles, in the context of online prostitution transactions the obstacles encountered were in the form of technical barriers that came from the influence of signal and server conditions and semantic barriers in the form of differences in perceptions between prostitutes and clients, especially related to price agreements.
