Abstract
This study aims to analyze the effect of profitability, firm size, free cash flow, business risk, and liquidity on debt policy on property and real estate companies listed on the Indonesian stock exchange (BEI) for the period 2012- 2016. The population in this study were 48 properties and real estate listed on the Indonesian stock exchange (IDX) for the period 2012-2016. The sampling method used was purposive sampling method, in order to obtain a total sample of 26 companies. Data were analyzed using Eviews 9 and Spss 21. The data analysis technique used is multiple linear regression analysis. The results of this study indicate that partially profitability and firm size have a positive effect on debt policy. While liquidity has a negative effect on debt policy. Business risk and free cash flow have no effect on debt policy. The coefficient determination shows profitability, company size, free cash flow, business risk, and liquidity against debt policy of 46.26% while the rest of 53.74% is the contribution of other factors. Key word : Profitability, company size, free cash flow, business risk, liquidity and debt policy. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh profitabilitas, ukuran perusahaan, arus kas bebas, risiko bisnis, dan likuiditas terhadap kebijakan utang pada perusahaan property dan real estate yang terdaftar di bursa efek indonesia (BEI) periode 2012-2016. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah 48 property dan real estate yang terdaftar di bursa efek indonesia (BEI) periode 2012-2016. Metode pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah metode purposive sampling, sehingga diperoleh jumlah sampel sebanyak 26 perusahaan. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan software Eviews 9 dan Spss 21. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis regresi linier berganda. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa secara parsial profitabilitas dan ukuran perusahaan berpengaruh positif terhadap kebijakan utang. Sedangkan likuiditas berpengaruh negatif terhadap kebijakan utang. Risiko bisnis dan arus kas bebas tidak berpengaruh terhadap kebijakan hutang. Uji koefisien determinasi profitabilitas, ukuran perusahaan, arus kas bebas, risiko bisnis, dan likuiditas terhadap kebijakan utang sebesar 46.26% atau dengan kata lain 53.74% merupakan kontribusi faktor lain. Kata kunci : Profitabilitas, Ukuran perusahaan, Arus kas bebas, Risiko bisnis, Likuiditas dan Kebijakan utang.
