Abstract

The use of internet-based communication systems by companies is considered capable of providing a positive image so that the company can quickly carry out activities and communication activities, including the Building Management communication system. One of the building managers that use the Digital Building Maintenance System is the Verde Two Apartment through the BAMMS application. This study is aimed to determine the background of application usage, the goals, and how to use BAMMS internet-based applications. This research is supported by several relevant main concepts, including the concept of CMC (Computer Mediated Communication), application, cyber public relations, new media, and communication technology. This study uses a qualitative approach with descriptive research type. The research method used is descriptive qualitative by conducting interviews with interviewees and participant observation. Based on the research results, BAMMS plays an important role in helping Tenant Relations carry out the operations that take place at Verde Two's apartment. Through BAMMS, Tenant Relations can provide all information and bridge all communication processes directly to the Verde Two apartment residents. The managers and residents of the Verde Two apartment give a quite positive response to the features contained in BAMMS. They feel significantly helped by the features in BAMMS that make it easier for them in their daily activities. Keywords : CMC (Computer Mediated Communication), The Use of Internet-Based Applications, Communication and Information Media Penggunaan sistem komunikasi berbasis internet oleh perusahaan dianggap mampu memberikan citra positif sehingga perusahaan mampu mejalankan kegiatan dan aktivitas komunikasi dengan cepat, termasuk pada sistem komunikasi Building Management. Salah satu pengelola gedung yang menggunakan Digital Building Maintenance System adalah Apatemen Verde Two melalui aplikasi BAMMS. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apa latar belakang penggunaan aplikasi, tujuan, dan bagaimana penggunaan aplikasi berbasis internet BAMMS. Penelitian ini didukung oleh beberapa konsep utama yang relevan, diantaranya yaitu konsep CMC (Computer Mediated Communication), aplikasi, cyber public relations, new media, dan teknologi komunikasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan tipe penelitian deskriptif. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dekriptif dengan melakukan wawancara kepada narasumber, dan observasi partisipan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian BAMMS mengambil peranan penting dalam membantu Tenant Relations menjalankan operasional yang berlangsung di apartemen Verde Two. Melalui BAMMS, Tenant Relations dapat memberikan segala informasi serta menjembatani segala proses komunikasi secara langsung kepada penghuni apartemen Verde Two. Pengelola dan penghuni apartemen Verde Two memberikan respon yang cukup positif mengenai fitur yang terdapat dalam BAMMS. Mereka merasa sangat terbantu dengan adanya fitur-fitur dalam BAMMS yang memudahkan mereka dalam kegiatan sehari-hari.
