Abstract
ABSTRAK Alat Furnace merupakan tungku panas berkapasitas 14L dengan pencapaian maksimum suhu 1200°C yang berfungsi dalam proses pengujian kadar abu di bahan karet dan pengujian lainnya. Proses pengujian dilakukan pada suhu 550°C ±10°C yang telah diatur dalam SNI/ISO 247 Penentuan Kadar Abu yang dipersyaratkan. Untuk menjaga performance suhu, maka perlu dilakukan control secara kontinu dan periodik agar penyimpangan suhu furnace dapat diketahui, selain perawatan mesin perlu juga dilakukan verifikasi terhadap suhu sebenarnya yang dinamakan aktifitas kalibrasi. Kalibrasi adalah suatu kegiatan dengan cara membandingkan suhu langsung dengan alat termokopel dan indikator suhu termometer digital. Kalibrasi diukur pada suhu yang digunakan yaitu 550°C, kalibrasi dilakukan dengan memperhatikan beberapa faktor diantaranya hasil kalibrasi alat, faktor lingkungan dan nilai resolusi furnace. Hasil dari kalibrasi furnace diperoleh nilai yang disebut koreksi dan ketidakpastian pengukuran, adalah nilai penyimpangan pembacaan alat dari nilai sebenarnya dan rentang suhu. Dari hasil kalibrasi alat diperoleh nilai koreksi = - 5.0°C dan ketidakpastian = ±1.2°C, artinya nilai aktual suhu furnace adalah = 550 + (-5.0) ±1.2 . Artinya bila nilai pembacaan indikator furnace sebesar 550°C, maka nilai sebenarnya adalah (543.8 ~ 546.2)°C. Jadi dengan melaksanakan kalibrasi furnace, bisa diketahui nilai aktual suhu furnace, sehingga bisa diambil tindakan terhadap nilai penyimpangan yang diketahui. The results of the furnace calibration obtained a value called correction and measurement uncertainty, is the value of the deviation reading from the actual value and temperature range. From the results of the calibration tool obtained correction value = -5.0 ° C and uncertainty = ± 1.2 ° C, meaning that the actual value of the furnace temperature is = 550 + (-5.0) ± 1.2. This means that if the reading value of the furnace indicator is 550 ° C, the actual value is (543.8 ~ 546.2) ° C. So by carrying out furnace calibration, it can be known the actual value of the furnace temperature, so that action can be taken on the known deviation values.
