Abstract

ABSTRAK PT. Kajian Logam Persada adalah perusahaan yang bergerak dalam bidang baja di Indonesia. Pada saat produksi produkmgrinding Rool besar di bulan juli sampai desember 2018, PT. Kajian Logam Persada mengalami permasalahan dalam hal produktivitas yang mengakibatkan target produksi pada bulan tertentu tidak tercapai. Kendala perusahaan dalam meningkatkan produktivitas di departemen produksi umumnya dipengaruhi oleh faktor kualitas yang tidak tepat selama kegiatan produksi berlangsung. Oleh sebab itu diperlukan upaya pengendalian kualitas yang tepat untuk meningkatkan produktivitas di departemen produksi. Adapun kendala yang dihadapi adalah tingginya defect Grinding Rool Besar sebesar 0,71 sehingga masalah tersebut dapat menurunkan tingkat produktivitas. Untuk itu perlu adanya perbaikan kualitas menurunkan defect agar target 0.35 dapat tercapai. Sebagai solusi salah satu cara yang dapat dilakukan adalah mengidentifikasi dan menganalisa faktor penyebab kecacatan adalah kelalaian pegawai, pembelian material yang kurang bagus, temperatur tidak sesuai, dan tidak menggunakan metode FIFO , dengan menerapkan metode PDCA , kemudian dilakukan pengidentifikasian faktor dan akar penyebab kecacatan dengan diagram sebab akibat, dan tahapan 5W 1H . Hasil evaluasi dari implementasi ini adalah menurunnya defect dari 0.71 menjadi 0.32 . Kata kunci: Pengendalian kualitas, PDCA , 5W 1H ABSTRACT PT. Metal Persada Study is a company engaged in steel in Indonesia. At the time of the production of the large grinding Rool in July to December 2018, PT. The Logam Persada study experienced problems in terms of productivity which resulted in the production target in a given month not being reached. Corporate constraints in increasing productivity in the production department are generally influenced by inappropriate quality factors during production activities. Therefore, appropriate quality control efforts are needed to increase productivity in the production department. The obstacle faced is the high Rool Grinding defect of 0.71 so that the problem can reduce the level of productivity. For this reason, it is necessary to improve quality to reduce defects so that target 0.35 can be achieved. As a solution, one way to do this is to identify and analyze the causes of disability: negligence of employees, purchase of less good materials, inappropriate temperature, and not using the FIFO method (First In First Out), by applying the PDCA method (Plan-Do– Check-Action), then identify the factors and root causes of disability with causal diagrams, and stages 5W 1H. The evaluation results of this implementation are a decrease in defects from 0.71 to 0.32 . Keywords: Quality control, PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Action), 5W 1H
