Abstract

Youtube is a website that facilitates users to share videos that they have, or is limited to enjoying various video clips uploaded by various parties. One of them is a Youtube channel called House of Highlights which uploads pieces of the results of a basketball game which includes Techniques in basketball games, game patterns and match methods The theory of constructivism states that individuals interpret and act according to the conceptual category of mind. Reality does not describe the individual but must be filtered through the way people view the reality. Constructivism theory is built based on the previous theory, namely personal construction or personal construction (personal construct) by George Kelly. The research method used in this research is descriptive qualitative, which is a research procedure that produces data and is a research that is intended to collect information about the research subject and the behavior of the research subject in a period also using observation and in-depth interviews. Based on the research results of the House of Highlights channel provides a lot of information about the Match Method, Game Patterns and Techniques in basketball games. Because in the Youtube channel provides information in the form of video clips from NBA level basketball players or pro players who are undergoing training. So that players can easily learn the technique or pattern. Keywords: Youtube, Utilization of Channels, Skill Improvement, Basketball Youtube merupakan sebuah website yang memfasilitasi penggunanya untuk berbagi video yang mereka miliki, atau sebatas menikmati berbagai video klip yang diunggah oleh berbagai pihak.Salah satunya adalah channel Youtube yang bernama House Of Highlights yang mengunggah sebuah potongan-potongan hasil dari pertandingan bola basket yang meliputi Teknik pada permainan bola basket,pola permainan dan metode pertandingan Teori konstruktivisme menyatakan bahwa individu menginterpretasikan dan beraksi menurut kategori konseptual dari pikiran. Realitas tidak menggambarkan diri individu namun harus disaring melalui cara pandang orang terhadap realitas tersebut. Teori konstruktivisme dibangun berdasarkan teori yang ada sebelumnya, yaitu konstruksi pribadi atau konstruksi personal (personal construct) oleh George Kelly. Metode penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif, yaitu prosedur penelitian yang menghasilkan data dan merupakan penelitian yang dimaksudkan untuk mengumpulkan informasi mengenai subjek penelitian dan perilaku subjek penelitian pada suatu periode juga menggunakan observasi dan wawancara mendalam. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian channel House Of Highlights memberikan banyak informasi mengenai Metode Pertandingan,Pola Permainan dan Teknik pada permainan bola basket. Dikarenakan didalam channel Youtube tersebut memberikan informasi berupa potongan-potongan video dari pemain basket level NBA atau para pro player yang sedang menjalani latihan.sehingga para pemain dapat dengan mudah mempelajari Teknik atau pola tersebut.
