Abstract

ABSTRAK PT. Futaba Industrial Indonesia adalah salah satu perusahaan yang bergerak di bidang manufaktur roda empat, produk yang dihasilkan adalah hasil dari proses stamping (press). Salah satu produk yang mempunyai rasio defect paling banyak adalah extension rear floor 2nd x member dengan klasifikasi defect pecah (crack) yaitu 56,99% pada mesin stamping tandem 400-600t. Peneliti menggunakan metode six sigma dengan pendekatan DMAIC (Define, Measure. Analyze, Improve, Control) dalam penelitian ini. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai sigma rata – rata produk extension rear floor2nd x member adalah 3,76 merupakan tingkat sigma yang cukup baik, namun masih perlu dilakukan perbaikan. Kemudian dapat diketahui 3 penyebab yang paling dominan menyebabkan defect pecah (crack) yaitu, Gap antar dies terlalu sempit, posisi stopper tidak fix karena bolt kendor, dan permukaan radius dies yang terlalu kasar. Usulan perbaikan yang diberikan peneliti adalah mengatur ketinggian endblock dengan menambahkan shim, mengatur tingkat kekencangan bolt, dan merevisi checksheet preventive maintenance dengan menambahkan item cek kekencangan bolt, melakukan pemolesan ulang pada proses draw hingga permukaan dies tidak kasar. Kata kunci: Six Sigma, DMAIC, Pengendalian Kualitas, Stamping. ABSTRACT PT. Futaba Industrial Indonesia is one of the companies engaged in four-wheel manufacturing, the products produced are the result of the stamping process. One product that has the most defect ratio is extension rear floor 2nd x member with the classification of crack defects which is 56.99% on tandem stamping machines 400- 600t. The researcher used the six sigma method with the DMAIC approach (Define, Measure. Analyze, Improve, Control) in this research. The results showed the average sigma value of the product extension rear floor 2nd x member is 3.76 is a pretty good sigma level, but still needs to be improved. Then it can be seen that the 3 most dominant causes of crack defects are, the gap between dies is too narrow, the stopper position is not fixed because the bolt is loose, and the radius dies surface is too rough. The proposed improvement given by the researcher was to adjust the height of the endblock by adding shim, adjusting the level of bolt tightness, and revising the preventive maintenance checksheet by adding the check bolt item, refinishing the draw process until the dies surface was not rough.
