Abstract

ABSTRAK Perak merupakan salah satu logam yang memiliki banyak sekali kegunaan diantaranya sebagai bahan untuk perhiasan dan koin karena perak memiliki daya tahan terhadap korosi. Selain itu perak juga bisa digunakan sebagai bahan baku membuat lapisan cermin dimana untuk merefleksikan cahaya lebih sempurna. Perak ditemukan dialam sebagai unsur logam berkombinasi dengan unsur-unsur lain seperti emas, tembaga, dan timbal. Teknologi HSSE ini memiliki beberapa kelebihan, diantaranya prosesnya cepat, tidak memerlukan pemisahan unsur lainnya, serta tingkat kemurnian yang tinggi. Keberhasilan teknologi HSSE ini dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor, yakni kestabilan tegangan, rapat arus listrik, keasaman, konsentrasi larutan elektrolit, jenis elektroda, serta waktu optimum yang dibutuhkan pada proses ini. Berdasarkan hasil analisa dan pengujian yang telah dilakukan pada penelitian ini, menaikkan parameter arus pada proses electrorefining membuat hasil produksi kristal menjadi banyak serta mempercepat waktu operasi dalam 1x siklus. Kata kunci : Electrorefining, Teknologi HSSE. ABSTRACT Silver is a metal that has many uses, including as an ingredient for jewelry and coins because silver has a corrosion resistance. Besides that silver can also be used as a raw material to make a mirror layer where to reflect light more perfectly. Silver is found in nature as a metal element in combination with other elements such as gold, copper, and lead. HSSE technology has several advantages, including a fast process, does not require separation of other elements, and a high level of purity. The success of the HSSE technology is influenced by several factors, namely the stability of the voltage, the density of the electric current, the acidity, the concentration of the electrolyte solution, the type of electrode, and the optimum time needed in this process. Based on the results of the analysis and testing that has been done in this study, increasing the current parameters in the electrorefining process makes the production of crystals a lot and accelerates the operating time in 1x cycle.
