Abstract

Inventory management is one of the keys to the success of the production process in any company, including manufacturing companies. Therefore, determining the optimal amount of inventory is crucial for inventory management. In a production process, sometimes a condition is found which is the amount of inventory far exceeds what is needed, so in the process of implementing any changes in specifications of an inventory it takes a long time, this is due to an attempt to use up obsolete inventory first, so the calculation of the value of the inventory is needed. In this research, using the Economic Order Quantity and Reorder Point analysis methods available in the POM-QM software, it is expected to determine the optimal value of the purchase amount, safety stock, reorder points, and the required inventory costs of J950010 nuts. The results showed that although there were differences between the results of the POM-QM calculation and the application in the field, the inventory management of nut J950010 is optimal. Keywords: EOQ, ROP, and Inventory Management Pengelolaan persediaan merupakan salah satu kunci keberhasilan proses produksi pada setiap perusahaan, termasuk pada perusahaan manufaktur. Oleh karena itu, penentuan jumlah persediaan optimal sangat menentukan bagi pengelolaan persediaan. Dalam suatu proses produksi terkadang ditemukan sebuah kondisi dimana jumlah persediaan jauh melebihi yang dibutuhkan, sehingga dalam proses implementasi akan perubahan spesifikasi sebuah persediaan memakan waktu yang cukup lama, hal ini diakibatkan adanya usaha untuk menghabiskan persediaan yang sudah usang terlebih dahulu, sehingga dibutuhkan perhitungan akan nilai optimal dari persediaan tersebut. Dalam penelitian ini, dengan menggunakan metode analisa Economic Order Quantity dan Reorder Point yang ada pada software POM-QM, diharapkan dapat menentukan nilai optimal dari jumlah pembelian, Safety Stock, titik pemesanan kembali, serta biaya persediaan yang dibutuhkan dari mur J950010. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa meskipun terdapat perbedaan antara hasil perhitungan POM-QM dan penerapan di lapangan, pengelolan persediaannya mur J950010 sudah optimal.
