Abstract
PT. Supreme Cable Manufacturing & Commerce Tbk, (PT. SUCACO) is a national manufacturing company that manufactures various types of cables, one of which is the STEL Cable K-015. The problem that occurs is that during the manufacturing process there are products that experience defects because at the time of production at PT. Supreme Cable Manufacturing & Commerce Tbk there are still products that do not meet the specified standards. This situation can result in increased production costs and a decrease in product quality which ultimately reduces profits for the company. In the process of making products experiencing defects during October 2018 - March 2019 To improve quality, researchers used the six sigma method which consists of five stages. This stage is known as the DMAIC method (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control). Based on the results of the Pareto diagram it is known that the loose support iron is the highest type of defect with a percentage of 40% and the less sticky adhesive is the main cause based on the fishbone diagram, and FMEA. Then the recommendations obtained using the DMAIC method (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control) is to carry out an inspection of raw materials warehouse and the implementation of repair of adhesives that are not in accordance with the standard. SUCACO) adalah perusahaan nasional yang bereka di bidang manufaktur yang memproduksi berbagai jenis – jenis kabel, salah satunya adalah Kabel STEL K – 015. Masalah yang terjadi adalah ketika dalam proses pembuatannya terdapat produk yang mengalami defect karena pada saat produksi di PT. Supreme Cable Manufacturing & Commerce Tbk masih terdapat produk yang belum sesuai standar yang telah ditentukan. Keadaan ini dapat berakibat pada meningkatnya biaya produksi dan penurunan kualitas produk yang pada akhirnya mengurangi profit bagi perusahaan. Dalam proses pembuatan produk mengalami defect selama Oktober 2018 – Maret 2019 Untuk meningkatkan kualitas, peneliti menggunakan metode six sigma yang terdiri dari lima tahapan. Tahapan tersebut dikenal dengan metode DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control). Berdasarkan hasil diagram pareto maka diketahui bahwa besi penyangga lepas merupakan jenis defect tertinggi dengan persentase 40% dan bahan perekat yang kurang menempel merupakan penyebab utamanya berdasarkan diagram tulang ikan, dan FMEA. Maka rekomendasi yang didapat menggunakan metode DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control) adalah melakuakan pemeriksaan gudang bahan baku dan pelaksanaan perbaikan bahan perekat yang tidak sesuai dengan standar.
