Abstract
Humans and technology have been shaped by information sophistication technology. One of the information technologies which become crucial these days is television, It broadcasted information to audiences across the regions which the caused the television to become an important device for a political campaign to influence it’s audiences. 2018 is a political year ahead of the 2019 presidential election. Political issues are increasingly rolling, party rulers have set their strategies for candidates who are promoted, and even television mass media are also involved in influencing democratic processes ahead of the 2019 presidential election. Media owners have read the ideological situation the contestation that is presented is to package the appropriate program to be presented before the presidential election. This is a critical paradigm study with a qualitative approach. Van Dijk’s critical discourse analysis is used as the method of the study. By using Van Dijk's critical discourse analysis method, this study aims at how the text is used as an instrument to express understandings about alignments through the MetroTV Q & A program. The results of the study show that the Q & A program is the theme of "Tikungan Akhir Menteng,"Jawara Tanah Jawa", and "Tanya Tuan Guru" where the text in the program brings an ideology that portrays politics in Indonesia that uses words related to ways of influencing people's mindsets in consider adults namely TKN coalition, show incumbent achievements and also show the achievements of their supporters. The choice of words conveyed and sentences delivered about religious issues are used by candidates who compete in the 2019 presidential election, for example about third islamic leader agreement, and also the actual form of incumbent work that is used to construct strategies in ideological contestation in the presidential election. Media ownership also plays a role in the formation of texts mediated by the practice of discourse, traces of partisanship can be traced by reading social cognitions in media institutions. Keyword : Critical Discourse Analysis, 2019 Presidential Election, Ideological Contestatio Manusia dan teknologi saat ini telah dibentuk dengan kecanggihan oleh teknologi informasi. Salah satunya adalah media massa televisi, yang menyajikan sebuah program untuk khalayak ke berbagai wilayah sehingga menyebabkan televisi menjadi kekuatan penting bagi politik untuk dapat mempengaruhinya. Tahun 2018 merupakan tahun politik menjelang pilpres 2019. Isu politik kian bergulir, penguasa partai sudah mengatur strateginya untuk calon yang diusung bahkan media massa televisi juga ikud serta dalam mempengaruhi proses demokrasi menjelang pilpres 2019. Pemilik media sudah membaca bentuk situasi ideologi yang akan dijalankan maka bentuk kontestasi yang di hadirkan yaitu mengemas program yang sesuai untuk disajikan menjelang pilpres. Penelitian ini menggunakan paradigma kritis dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Dengan menggunakan metode analisis wacana kritis Van Dijk, penelitian ini bertujuan bagaimana teks di jadikan instrument untuk mengungkapkan paham – paham tentang keberpihakan melalui program Q&A MetroTV. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa program Q&A tema “ Tikungan Akir Menteng , “ Jawara Tanah Jawa “, dan “ Tanya Tuan Guru “dimana Teks didalam program tersebut membawa ideologi yang meggambarkan politik di Indonesia yang banyak menggunakan kata yang berhubungan dengan cara mempengaruhi pola pikir masyarakat yang di anggap dewasa yaitu koalisi TKN, menunjukan prestasi petahana dan juga menunjukan prestasi pendukungnya. Pilihan kata yang disampaikan dan bentuk kalimat yang disampaikan tentang permasalahan agama digunakan calon kandidat yang bersaing dalam pemilihan presiden 2019 misalnya tentang ijtima ulama yang berjilid, dan juga bentuk kerja nyata petahana juga digunakan sehingga mengkontruksi strategi dalam sebuah kontestasi ideologi dalam pemilihan presiden. Kepemilikan media juga berperan dalam pembentukan teks yang diperantarai oleh praktik kewacanaan, jejak keberpihakan dapat dilacak dengan membaca kognisi sosial dalam institusi media.
