Abstract

Magelang city has an execelent tourism potential, besides from the geographical aspect, the city is surrounded by mountains. The cool air and strategic location make the tourism development growing rapidly. Moreover, this city is well known as a transit city that connects cities such as Semarang, Yogyakarta and Purworejo. Furthermore, in order to support the tourism development, all facilities and infrastructure needs to be optimally provided. For instance; franchise restaurant, boutique hotels, offices, and residence environment that accomadates health facility and comfortness. Most importantly, it supports the design needs to increase the wealth of lifestyle through architecture by complying to the standards regulations and implementing the architectural designs with the Green Building approach. Key words: Magelang, Tourism, Green Building Kota Magelang memiliki potensi wisata yang sangat baik, selain aspek geografis Kota Magelang dikelilingi oleh gunung. Udara yang sejuk dan lokasi yang strategis membuat perkembangan pariwisata di kota ini berkembang pesat. Terlebih lagi, Kota Magelang terkenal sebagai kota transit yang menghubungkan kota Semarang, Yogyakarta, dan Purworejo. Untuk menunjang itu semua dibutuhkan sarana dan prasarana, salah satunya Resto waralaba, Hotel Butik, Kantor, dan Rumah Tinggal untuk mewadahi kebutuhan yang berorientasi pada Kesehatan, kenyamanan, berwawasan lingkungan. Serta mewadahi kebutuhan desain dalam meningkatkan kekayaan gaya hidup melalui arsitektural dengan mengikuti standar peraturan-peraturan yang ada dan dengan penerapan desain arsitektur dengan pendekatan Bangunan Hijau.
