Abstract

There is an interesting phenomenon occurring in the field ahead of the 2019 presidential election, in the stronghold 02 Prabowo-Sandi There are many emerging political applications whose purpose is to keep the voice of the people. From the authors search results there are at least ten applications offered on the audience for use on the day of the Election. Racikan application is made by a group of IPB Alumni who are in the team of winning volunteers. That along with the advancement of digital era technology, political communication activity can be built through the application based on Android technology where the elements of political communication such as what is expressed by Dan Nimmo is Communicator, message, channel, Targets, persuasion and effects involved therein. Marshall Mc. Luhan: Medium is the message. The essence conveyed by Mc. Luhan is that the media is the message itself. The message is not only on the content as well as the changes generated by the media. The methodology used in this study is a descriptive interpretive with a qualitative approach, the method used is case studies. Based on the research results, an answer is that the application as a means of political communication is effective in establishing political communication activities. Thus the presence of an application for political purposes in order to support the implementation of a clean, authoritative and dignified democracy may be a need that can not be missed. Keywords: activities, political communication, applications, elections, people's voices Terdapat fenomena yang menarik terjadi di lapangan menjelang perhelatan pilpres 2019, di kubu pasangan 02 Prabowo-Sandi terdapat banyak bermunculan Aplikasi politik yang tujuannya adalah untuk menjaga suara rakyat. Dari hasil penelusuran penulis setidaknya ada sepuluh aplikasi yang ditawarkan pada khalayak untuk dipergunakan pada saat hari H pencoblosan. Aplikasi Racikan dibuat oleh sekumpulan Alumni IPB yang tergabung dalam Tim Relawan Pemenangan. Bahwa Seiring dengan kemajuan teknologi era digital, Aktivitas Komunikasi politik dapat dibangun melalui Aplikasi berbasis teknologi android dimana unsur komunikasi politik seperti apa yang dikemukakan oleh Dan Nimmo yaitu Komunikator, pesan, saluran, target, persuasi dan efek terlibat didalamnya. Marshall Mc. Luhan : Medium is the message. Inti yang disampaikan oleh Mc. Luhan adalah bahwa media adalah pesan itu sendiri. Pesan bukan hanya pada kontennya saja juga pada perubahan yang dihasilkan oleh media tersebut. Metodologi yang dipakai dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif interpretif dengan pendekatan kualitatif, adapun metode yang dipakai adalah studi kasus. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian maka diperoleh suatu jawaban bahwa Aplikasi sebagai alat komunikasi politik cukup efektif didalam membangun aktivitas komunikasi politik. Maka kehadiran sebuah Aplikasi untuk tujuan politik dalam rangka menunjang pelaksanaan demokrasi yang bersih, berwibawa dan bermartabat kiranya merupakan kebutuhan yang tidak dapat terelakan.
