Abstract

ABSTRAK Kontes Mobil Hemat Energi 2019 merupakan sebuah lomba mobil irit tingkat nasional. Mobil listrik menjadi trend kendaraan masa depan karena tidak menghasilkan emisi gas buang, bersih, tidak menimbulkan polusi udara dan mudah perawatanya. Mobil listrik tentunya membutuhkan sebuah rangka chassis yang berfungsi sebagai penompang semua beban yang ada pada kendaraan dengan kontruksi rangka yang kuat, dan efisien. Tujuan dari perancangan ini adalah untuk membuat rangka chassis yang kuat dalam menahan beban kendaraan baik itu penumpang, mesin, sistem kemudi, bodi dan segala peralatan yang ada diatas rangka. Efiesien dalam pemilihan jenis material dengan menggunakan material alumunium sehingga terbentuk chassis yang ringan. Material rangka chassis yang digunakan adalah material hollow alumunium 6063 T1 dengan beberapa ukuran profil diantaranya 50x25x3 mm, 40x20x1,2 mm dan 30x20x1,6 mm. Penelitian ini dilakukan dalam beberapa tahap pengerjaan yaitu pemodelan chassis dengan perangkat lunak solidwork 2017. Setelah dilakukan simulasi dengan beban 181 [kg] terhadap ketiga ukuran tersebut, desain yang terpilih yaitu ukuran 50x25x3 mm dengan jenis chassis model double beam yang menyerupai bentuk chassis ladder frame yang mempunyai nilai tegangan maksimum 44,542 [Mpa], defleksi maksimum 1,964 [mm] dan factor of safety 2,021 sehingga dinyatakan rancangan rangka chassis model double beam ini sudah kuat dan aman dalam menahan beban 181 [kg]. Kata kunci : KMHE 2019, Chassis Model Double Beam, Tegangan, Defleksi dan factor of safety. ABSTRACT The 2019 Energy Saving Car Contest is a national economical car race. Electric cars are the trend of future vehicles because they do not produce exhaust emissions, are clean, do not cause air pollution and are easy to maintain. An electric car certainly requires a chassis frame that functions as a support for all the load that is on the vehicle with a strong, efficient frame construction. The purpose of this design is to make a chassis frame that is strong in bearing the burden of the vehicle be it passengers, engines, steering systems, body and all the equipment that is above the frame. Efficient in choosing the type of material using aluminum material to form a lightweight chassis. Chassis frame material used is aluminum hollow material 6063 T1 with several profile sizes including 50x25x3 mm, 40x20x1.2 mm and 30x20x1.6 mm. This research was conducted in several stages of work, namely chassis modeling with 2017 solidworks software. After simulation with a load of 181 [kg] of the three sizes, the design chosen was 50x25x3 mm with the type of double beam chassis model that resembled the shape of a ladder frame chassis that was has a maximum stress value of 44.542 [Mpa], a maximum deflection of 1.964 [mm] and a factor of safety of 2.021 so that it is stated that the chassis design of the double beam model is already strong and safe in resisting 181 [kg] loads.
