Abstract

This study aims to obtain empirical evidence about the effect of activity, sales growth, and cash flow operations in predicting financial distress in retail trade companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) from 2014 to 2018. The sampling method uses purposive sampling and analysis using EViews version 10. The data analysis technique used is panel data regression analysis. The results showed that only one variable that significantly affected Financial Distress was cash flow operations. The ratio of predicted activity to total asset turnover has no effect in predicting financial distress. Sales growth has no effect in predicting financial distress. Keywords: Financial Distress, Total asset turnover, sales growth, cash flow operation. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh bukti empiris mengenai pengaruh aktivitas, sales growth, dan cash flow operation dalam memprediksi financial distress pada perusahaan retail trade yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI) periode 2014 hingga 2018. Metode pengambilan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling dan analisisnya menggunakan EViews versi 10. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis regresi data panel. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hanya satu variabel yang secara signifikan mempengaruhi financial distress yaitu cash flow operation. Rasio aktivitas yang diproksikan dengan total asset turnover tidak berpengaruh dalam memprediksi financial distress. Sales growth tidak berpengaruh dalam memprediksi financial distress. Kata Kunci: Financial Distress, Total asset turnover, sales growth, cash flow operation.
