Abstract

PT Gmf AeroAsia Tbk is a company engaged in aircraft maintenance services that are profit-oriented in each of its projects. Where from the period January 2018-May 2019 out of a total of 283 narrow body aircraft maintenance projects, 37 of them experienced delays. With this phenomenon, this study aims to find out what factors cause delays in the aircraft maintenance process and provide recommendations for improvements so that aircraft maintenance projects can be completed in a timely manner using the DMAIC method (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improvement , Control). The results obtained indicate the most dominant cause of delay by using the Pareto diagram which is caused by late material orders with 13 occurrences. Then the recommendation obtained to reduce the risk of late material order is to combine 2 maintenance phases into 1 maintenance phase simultaneously, namely inspection phase combined with phase removal in the hope that during the inspection phase found damage or finding that requires material, material up to the maintenance time range of the aircraft . Keywords : DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improvement, Control), delay, maintenance PT Gmf AeroAsia Tbk merupakan perusahaan yang bergerak di bidang jasa perawatan pesawat udara yang berorientasi profit pada setiap projek nya. Dimana dari periode Januari 2018-Mei 2019 dari total 283 projek perawatan pesawat berbadan sedang, 37 projek diantara nya mengalami keterlambatan. Dengan fenomena tersebut, maka penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mencari tahu faktor-faktor apa saja yang menyebabkan keterlambatan pada proses perawatan pesawat udara dan memberikan rekomendasi perbaikan agar projek perawatan pesawat bisa di selesaikan dengan tepat waktu dengan menggunakan metode DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improvement, Control). Hasil yang diperoleh menunjukkan penyebab keterlambatan paling dominan dengan menggunakan diagram pareto yaitu disebabkan late material order dengan 13 kali kejadian. Maka rekomendasi yang diperoleh untuk mengurangi resiko late material order adalah dengan menggabungkan 2 phase perawatan menjadi 1 pase perawatan secara bersamaan, yaitu phase inspeksi digabung dengan phase removal dengan harapan ketika pada phase inspeksi ditemukan kerusakan yang membutuhkan material, material sampai dalam range waktu maintenance pesawat tersebut.
