Abstract
PT. Indonesian Toray Synthetics is a company engaged in the textile industry, one of the products that is produced is Chip Film. The company produced defect in the production of Chip Film period January 2018 – December 2018 amounting to 5.7% while the company's tolerance limit is only 4%, of which there is a difference of 1.7%. The research aims to suppress the number of defect by providing recommendations for improvement proposals. The method is DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control) by calculating the value of the company Sigma and using FMEA (Failure Mode and Effect Analysis) tools to provide recommendations for improvement of the problem Urgent improvement. Phase Define creates SIPOC diagram and identifies the VOC (Voice Of Customer) to determine the description of CTQ (Critiqal To Quality). At the Measure stage, the calculation results of the Sigma value obtained by DPMO 19088.26 with a value of sigma 3.59. Type defect most dominant product Chip Film is the HAZE based on the results of the analysis using Pareto diagram in the Analyze stage and obtained the cause defect HAZE using the Fishbone Diagram. At the Improve stage, the FMEA calculation is obtained the most potential cause of the problem is that there is residual material on the machine with the value of RPN (Risk Priority Number) of 90 so that it is a priority to do repairs. Perform cleaning on the polymer machine after completion of operation and increase the number of polymer engines into an alternative repair proposal and described through an analysis of 5W + 1H at the Improve stage. Subsequent control proposals were given to avoid new problems at the Control stage. Keywords: Chip Film, Quality, Defect, DMAIC, Six Sigma, FMEA PT. Indonesian Toray Synthetics merupakan perusahaan yang bergerak di bidang indsutri tekstil, salah satu produk yang dihasilkannya yaitu adalah Chip Film. Perusahaan memproduksi defect pada produksi Chip Film periode Januari 2018 – Desember 2018 sebesar 5,7% sedangkan batas toleransi dari perusahaan hanya sebesar 4%, yang mana terdapat selisih 1,7%. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menekan jumlah defect dengan memberikan rekomendasi usulan perbaikan. Metode yang diguynakan adalah DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control) dengan menghitung nilai sigma perusahaan serta menggunakan tools FMEA (Failure Mode and Effect Analysis) untuk memberikan rekomendasi usulan perbaikan terhadap permasalahan yang mendesak untuk dilakukan perbaikan. Tahap Define membuat diagram SIPOC serta mengidentifikasi VOC (Voice Of Customer) untuk menentukan deskripsi dari CTQ (Critiqal To Quality). Pada tahap Measure, hasil perhitungan nilai sigma diperoleh DPMO sebesar 19088,26 dengan nilai sigma sebesar 3,59. Jenis defect paling dominan produk Chip Film adalah HAZE berdasarkan hasil analisis menggunakan diagram pareto di tahap Analyze serta diperoleh penyebab defect HAZE menggunakan Diagram Fishbone. Pada tahap Improve, perhitungan FMEA diperoleh faktor penyebab permasalahan yang paling potensial yaitu Terdapat material sisa pada mesin dengan nilai RPN (Risk Priority Number) sebesar 90 sehingga menjadi prioritas untuk dilakukan perbaikan. Melakukan pembersihan pada mesin Polimer setelah selesai beroperasi dan Menambah jumlah mesin Polimer menjadi alternatif usulan perbaikan dan dijabarkan melalui analisis 5W+1H pada tahap Improve. Selanjutnya diberikan usulan pengendalian untuk menghindari timbulnya masalah baru pada tahap Control. Kata Kunci: Chip Film, Kualitas, defect, DMAIC, Six Sigma, FMEA
