Abstract
PT. GTD is a company engaged in the manufacturing industry, specifically the production of passenger car tires / PCR (passenger car radial). In addition to the demand to produce products according to schedule, the company is also required to maintain product quality by minimizing the manufacture of reject products. In the production process there are still a lot of rejects produced, the resulting reject type consists of 7 types. The purpose of this study is to find out the biggest reject contributors in the bead forming process and find out the causes of rejects using the DMAIC method (Define, Method, Analyze, Improve, Control) on six sigma. The results of processing the data will produce a proposal and remedial solutions and control processes so that the results of improvements can improve product quality and provide an advantage to the company. Keywords: Quality, Production, Bead Forming, Reject, Six Sigma, DMAIC PT. GTD merupakan perusahaan yang bergerak di bidang industri manufaktur, khususnya produksi ban mobil berpenumpang / PCR (passenger car radial). Selain tuntutan untuk menghasilkan produk sesuai schedule, perusahaan juga dituntut untuk menjaga kualitas produk dengan cara meminimalisir pembuatan produk reject. Dalam proses produksi masih terdapat reject cukup banyak yang dihasilkan, jenis reject yang dihasilkan terdiri dari 7 macam. Tujuan dari penelitian ini guna mencari tahu penyumbang reject terbesar pada proses bead forming dan mengetahui penyebab terjadinya reject dengan menggunakan metode DMAIC (Define, Metode, Analyze, Improve, Control) pada six sigma. Hasil dari pengolahan data tersebut akan menghasilkan suatu usulan dan solusi perbaikan serta proses control agar hasil dari perbaikan bisa meningkatkan kualitas produk dan memberikan suatu keuntungan untuk perusahaan.
