Abstract
PT Exxon Mobil is one of the largest companies producing oil and gas. The company has an electric panel room to carry out the entire production process, an electric panel room that must be conditioned at a temperature of 22 oC so that electrical components are always safe. This panel chamber is cooled by the HVAC engine but this HVAC machine is often damaged and disrupts the production process. The purpose of this research is to reduce waste on HVAC machines. Waste identification is done by integrating lean six sigma, namely DMAIC, WAM and VALSAT. The analysis phase is carried out using WRM and WAQ tools and determining recommendations for improvements using the Cause effect and 5W + 1H tools. Based on WAM analysis, found the biggest waste is defect of 23%. The results of this defect were analyzed more deeply using VALSAT obtained PAM tools with a score of 526 obtained waste activity in the refrigeration system and found 6 waste activities in terms of Man, material, method, machine measurement and environment. After the analysis, the proposed improvement is obtained by choosing an HVAC engineer, replacing a new engine that has a capacity of 10% greater than the cooling load, adding components to the refrigeration system, changing the design of the air ducts. Keywords: Lean Six Sigma, DMAIC, WAM, VALSAT, 5W+1H PT Exxon Mobil adalah salah satu perusahaan terbesar yang memproduksi oil and gas. Perusahaan ini memiliki ruang panel listrik untuk melakukan seluruh proses produksi, ruang panel listrik yang harus dikondisikan pada temperature 22oC agar komponen listrik selalu aman. Ruang panel ini didinginkan oleh mesin HVAC namun mesin HVAC ini sering rusak dan mengganggu proses produksi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengurangi pemborosan pada mesin HVAC. Pengidentifikasian pemborosan dilakukan dengan mengintegrasikan lean six sigma yaitu DMAIC, WAM dan VALSAT. Tahap analisa dilakukan menggunakan tools WRM dan WAQ serta menentukan rekomendasi perbaikan menggunakan tools Cause effect dan 5W+1H. Berdasarkan analisa WAM, ditemukan pemborosan terbesar yaitu defect sebesar 23%. Hasil defect ini dianalisis lebih dalam menggunakan VALSAT didapat tools PAM dengan score 526 didapatkan aktivitas waste pada system refrigerasi dan ditemukan 6 aktivitas pemborosan dilihat dari segi Man, material, method, machine measurement and environment. Setelah dilakukan analisis, diperoleh usulan perbaikan yaitu dengan memilih engineer HVAC, mengganti mesin baru yang memiliki kapasitas 10% lebih besar dari beban pendinginan, menambah komponen system refrigerasi, merubah design saluran udara.
