Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of investment motivation, investment knowledge, minimal investment capital, investment return, and investment risk on investment interest. The object of this research is Mercu Buana Meruya University. The population in this study were Students of Mercu Buana Meruya University Regular 2 Faculty of Economics and Business Management Department with a 2015 Academic Year of 240 respondents. The research sample of 150 respondents. The sampling method uses simple random sampling. Data collection methods using survey methods, with the research instrument is a questionnaire. The method of data analysis uses Partial Least Square (PLS) analysis with the SmartPLS version 3.0 program. The results of this study prove that investment motivation has a positive and significant effect on investment interest. Investment knowledge has a positive and significant impact on investment interests. Minimum investment capital has a positive and significant effect on investment interest. Return on investment has a positive and significant impact on investment interest. Investment risk has a positive but not significant effect on investment interest. Keywords: Investment Motivation, Investment Knowledge, Minimal Investment Capital, Investment Return, Investment Risk and Investment Interest. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh motivasi investasi, pengetahuan investasi, modal minimal investasi, return investasi, dan risiko investasi terhadap minat investasi. Objek penelitian ini adalah Universitas Mercu Buana Meruya. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah Mahasiswa Universitas Mercu Buana Meruya Reguler 2 Fakultas Ekonomi dan Bisnis Jurusan Manajemen dengan Tahun Ajaran 2015 yang berjumlah 240 responden. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 150 responden. Metode pengambilan sampel menggunakan simple random sampling. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan metode survey, dengan instrumen penelitian adalah kuesioner. Metode analisis data menggunakan analisis Partial Least Square (PLS) dengan program SmartPLS versi 3.0. Hasil penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa motivasi investasi berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap minat investasi. Pengetahuan investasi berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap minat investasi. Modal minimal investasi berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap minat investasi. Return investasi berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap minat investasi. Risiko investasi berpengaruh positif tetapi tidak signifikan terhadap minat investasi. Kata kunci: Motivasi Investasi, Pengetahuan Investasi, Modal Minimal Investasi, Return Investasi, Risiko Investasi dan Minat Investasi.
