Abstract

Not a few of us who know about the characters who are in the puppet. Whereas from us searching for information about wayang can add insight and knowledge in depth which certainly also preserves or preserves Indonesian art culture. In addition, usually in adolescence a person is easier to get bored, and bored when faced with a media or content that is no longer relevant to the times. The basis for choosing game design content by wayang characterization is that the design of this game is considered relevant to the lives of adolescents and represents the problems that teens face. In the process, content visualization is not only limited to illustrating puppet characters into the visuals of game characters. However, there are additions to the visualization of the puppet characters. This happens because the design of visualization through a new interpretation process carried out by the designer. So the illustrations presented are visualizations of interpretations made by the designer. Game design with existing character puppets is not merely designing or conceptualizing puppet characters but enriching a more comprehensive insight into puppets. As a game design that targets teenagers, character design is also designed as close as possible to teens who are processed with 3D software, illustration, and manipulation. With 3D game concept style and adoption of medieval style so that it is more impressed medieval visualization but does not reduce what is the characteristic of the characterization of the puppet, with explicit colors and the selection of character concepts that create dynamic, flexible and not rigid thoughts and make the mind relax so hopefully the information can be received more easily by the brain. So that is expected from the creation of this game, which is a place for students who want to research characterizations of puppets in 3D and in the development of the creation of other games, which are expected to contribute to the country in the preservation of Indonesian culture. Keywords: game, character, puppet. Tidak sedikit sebagian kita yang tahu mengenai tokoh yang berada di pewayangan. Padahal dari kita mencari informasi mengenai wayang dapat menambah wawasan dan ilmu pengetahuan secara mendalam yang pastinya pula menjaga atau melestarikan budaya kesenian Indonesia. Di samping itu, biasanya pada masa remaja seseorang lebih mudah untuk bosan,dan jenuh ketika dihadapkan dengan suatu media maupun konten yang sudah tidak relevan dengan perkembangan zaman. Dasar pemilihan konten perancangan game dengan penokohan wayang adalah perancangan game ini dinilai relevan dengan kehidupan remaja serta mewakilkan permasalahan�permasalahan yang remaja hadapi. Dalam prosesnya, visualisasi konten tidak hanya sebatas mengilustrasikan tokoh wayang ke dalam visual karakter game. Akan tetapi terdapat tambahan pada visualisasi karakter wayang tersebut. Hal ini terjadi karena perancangan visualisasi melalui proses interpretasi baru yang dilakukan oleh perancang. Sehingga ilustrasi yang disajikan adalah visualisasi dari interpretasi yang dilakukan oleh perancang. Perancangan game dengan penokohan wayang yang ada bukanlah sekedar merancang atau mengkonsepkan karakter pewayangan melainkan memperkaya akan wawasan lebih menyeluruh mengenai pewayangan. Sebagai perancangan game yang mempunyai target remaja, desain karakter juga dirancang sedekat mungkin dengan remaja yang diolah dengan software 3D, ilustrasi, dan manipulasi. Dengan gaya konsep game 3D dan pengadopsian style medieval sehingga lebih terkesan pemvisualisasi abad pertengahan namun tidak mengurangi apa yang menjadi cirikhas dari penokohan wayang tersebut, dengan warna-warna yang eksplisit serta pemilihan konsep karakter yang menimbulkan kesan dinamis, fleksibel dan tidak kaku serta membuat pikiran rileks sehingga diharapkan informasi dapat diterima lebih mudah oleh otak. Sehingga yang diharapkan dari terciptanya game ini, yaitu menjadi wadah bagi mahasiswa yang ingin meriset penokohan wayang dalam bentuk 3D maupun dalam pengembangan terciptanya game lainnya, yang diharapkan dapat memberi kontribusi untuk negara dalam pelestarian budaya Indonesia.
