Abstract

PT. ABC is a manufacturing company engaged in metal machining. This study studied how to increase the production capacity of the Locknut Wrench using the PDCA method. Research includes the types of qualitative and quantitative. The method of data collection is done by: looking directly, gathering relevant theories, collecting data and analyzing. The technique of analyzing this study is PDCA. In the planning stage (Plan), which is determining the target of improvement, then looking for the cause of the problem through a fishbone diagram and 5W1H. After causing problems to be found, steps for improvement were compiled, namely by preparing the corrective steps through 5W1H approval. In the process of implementation, improvements were made to cut down the number of operations to 10 operations, scheduling training for operators and replacement of cutting tools. In the evaluation phase (Check), the results of repairs are obtained, namely the standard cost of 15.3 minutes and an increase in production capacity of 1590 pcs per month. In the final stage Standardization (Actions) applies operating standards about checking intervals of cutting tools and work sequences that have been repaired. Keywords : PDCA methods, Fisbone, 5W1H, Time Study.. PT. ABC merupakan perusahaan manufakturing yang bergerak dibidang pemesinan logam. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana cara meningkatkan kapasitas produksi produk Locknut Wrench dengan metode PDCA. Penelitian termasuk jenis kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Metode pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan : melihat langsung, mengumpulkan teori yang relevan, mengumpulkan data dan menganalisa. Teknik analisa penelitian ini dengan PDCA. Pada tahap Perencanaan (Plan) yaitu menentukan target perbaikan, kemudian mencari penyebab masalah melalui diagram tulang ikan (Fishbone) dan 5W1H. Setelah penyebab masalah ditemukan, kemudian disusun langkah – langkah perbaikan yaitu dengan melakukan penyusunan langkah perbaikan melalui pendekatan 5W1H. Pada tahap implementasi Perbaikan (Do) dilakukan perbaikan proses kerja dengan memangkas jumlah operasi menjadi 10 operasi, penjadwalan training untuk operator dan penggantian alat potong. Pada tahap Evaluasi (Check)didapatkan hasil perbaikan yaitu waktu baku sebesar 15,3 menit dan peningkatan kapasitas produksi sebanyak 1590 pcs per bulan. Pada tahap akhir Standarisasi (Action) diterapkan standar operasi kerja mengenai interval pengecekan alat potong dan urutan kerja yang telah diperbaiki.
