Abstract

Railroad is a public transportation that is widely used by people in Indonesia because with Railroad, people can avoid traffic jams and also the price is affordable. But the railroad crossing doors and monitoring of railroad crossing security so that postal officers who work have diffulty monitoring security at the railroad crossing area. In the design, a manual and periodic monitoring and control tool will be made that will be monitored through Android connected to the Firebase Database so that it can assist postal officers and engineers to strive to reduce accident rates at railroad crossings. The postal officer and engineer are just enough to monitor the Android Smartphone connected to the internet. From the test it can be concluded that Internet of Things-based train crossing control and monitoring using the MIT Inventor application can work when RFID sensors are moving ata an average speed of 12,55 cm/second which will trigger servo motors as well as vehicles that trigger ultrasonic sensor in the crossbar railway crossing and can be directly connected with the NodeMcu microcontroller by using the MIT Inventor application which will be directly processed by Firebase as a realtime database. In the MIT Inventor application, it will display the crossing and crowd situation in the crossing bar area. Smartphones and microcontrollers will always be connected to the internet. Keyword : MIT Inventor Application, Firebase, Internet of Things, Servo Motor, Ultrasonic, RFID Kereta Api merupakan transportasi umum yang banyak digunakan masyarakat di Indonesia karena, dengan Kereta Api masyarakat dapat terhindar dari kemacetan dan juga harganya pun terjangkau. Namun pintu perlintasan Kereta Api di Indonesia memang masih sangat kurang fasiltas di bagian kendali dan pemantauan keamanan perlintasan kereta api sehingga petugas pos yang bekerja mengalami kesulitan untuk memantau keamanan di area perlintasan kereta api. Pada perancangan akan dibuat sebuah alat kendali dan pemantauan secara manual dan berkala yang akan terpantau melalui Android yang terhubung dengan Database Firebase agar dapat membantu petugas pos dan masinis untuk mengupayakan pengurangan angka kecelakaan di pintu perlintasan kereta api. Petugas pos dan masinis hanya cukup memantau pada Smartphone Android yang terkoneksi dengan internet. Dari pengujian dapat disimpulkan purwarupa kendali dan pemantauan pintu perlintasan kereta api berbasis IoT menggunakan Aplikasi MIT Inventor dapat bekerja ketika sensor RFID yang bergerak dengan kecepatan rata – rata 12,55 cm/detik mentrigger motor servo serta kendaraan yang mentrigger sensor ultrasonik yang berada di palang pintu perlintasan kereta api dan dapat langsung terhubung dengan mikrokontroler NodeMcu dengan menggunakan aplikasi MIT Inventor yang akan langsung diolah oleh Firebase sebagai realtime database. Pada aplikasi MIT Inventor akan menampilkan situasi palang dan keramaian yang ada di area palang pintu perlintasan. Smartphone dan mikrokontroler akan selalu terhubung dengan internet.
