Abstract
SMK Media Informatika is one of the schools that has broadcasting majors. In grade 10, servants will provide training to them in material form and practice. In class 10 broadcasting has 35 leftovers. Where the students were divided into 22 men and 13 women. Citizen journalism can be interpreted as ordinary citizens who are not trained as professional journalists. To measure the understanding of service participants using a questionnaire for various observation activities. Servants measure the effectiveness of teaching to be carried out through a Likert Scale questionnaire Based on the results of the Public Care Lectures that have been served, some conclusions are obtained, from the difference in the percentage level of understanding of the students of Vocational Media Informatics. Data obtained before dedication to the level of students' understanding of what Citizen Journalism is and its role in society 49% of 29 students, after service increased to 72.4% from 29 students, there was an increase of 23.4% from 29 students. Data obtained before dedication to the level of students' understanding of how to write good and true news 57.9% of 29 students, after service increased to 71.7% from 29 students, there was an increase of 13.8% from 29 students. Data obtained before dedication to the level of student understanding of the practice of news script writing at the time when it was in the field 55.1% of 29 students, after service increased to 72.4% from 29 students, there was an increase of 17.3% of 29 students. SMK Media Informatika merupakan salah satu sekolah yang memiliki jurusan broadcasting. Di kelas 10, pengabdi akan memberikan pelatihan kepada mereka dalam bentuk materi dan praktek. Di kelas 10 broadcasting ini memiliki 35 sisa. Dimana siswa tersebut dibagi atas 22 laki-laki dan 13 perempuan. Citizen journalism dapat diartikan sebagai warga biasa yang tidak terlatih sebagai wartawan profesional. Untuk mengukur pemahaman peserta pengabdian menggunakan kuesioner untuk berbagai kegiatan observasi. Pengabdi mengukur efektifitas pengajaran yang akan dilakukan lewat kuesioner Skala Likert Berdasarkan hasil Kuliah Peduli Negeri yang sudah pengabdi lakukan, maka diperoleh beberapa kesimpulan, dari selisih persentase tingkat pemahaman siswa SMK Media Informatika. Diperoleh data sebelum pengabdian tingkat pemahaman siswa terhadap apa itu Citizen Journalism dan perannya di masyarakat 49% dari 29 siswa, setelah pengabdian meningkat menjadi 72.4% dari 29 siswa, ada peningkatan sebesar 23.4% dari 29 siswa. Diperoleh data sebelum pengabdian tingkat pemahaman siswa terhadap cara menulis berita baik dan benar 57.9% dari 29 siswa, setelah pengabdian meningkat menjadi 71.7% dari 29 siswa, ada peningkatan 13.8% dari 29 siswa. Diperoleh data sebelum pengabdian tingkat pemahaman siswa terhadap praktik penulisan naskah berita saat saat berada dilapangan 55.1% dari 29 siswa, setelah pengabdian meningkat menjadi 72.4% dari 29 siswa, ada peningkatan 17.3% dari 29 siswa
