Abstract
The city of Bandung is a leading tourist destination that is already popular with domestic and foreign tourists and its location close to the capital of Jakarta, making Bandung often a "short escape" for residents of the city of Jakarta. With the increase in tourists, the need for shelter and accommodation in the form of hotels will increase. Hotels must be able to provide lodging, dining and drinking services, other complementary facilities as well as public services that can support and facilitate the resting activities of guests who aim to travel / recreation in the area, and be managed commercially. Jolopong hotels & resorts are the answer to these accommodation needs where jolopong hotels and resorts carry the Neo-Vernacular theme. As the name implies, Jolopong hotels and resorts are formed from the application of traditional West Java building models, namely Atap Suhunan Jolopong. Jolopong Hotel and Resort architecture tries to unite Art and Science, Craft and Technology, International and Local which are the results of the development of human resources for modern architecture. Keywords: Neo-Vernacular, Jolopong, Hotel, Architecture. Kota Bandung sebagai destinasi wisata unggulan yang sudah popular bagi turis domestic maupun mancanegara serta lokasinya yang dekat dengan ibukota Jakarta, menjadikan Bandung sering menjadi “short escape” bagi penghuni kota Jakarta. Dengan meningkatnya wisatawan maka kebutuhan akan hunian dan akomodasi berupa hotel akan meningkat. Hotel harus mampu menyediakan jasa penginapan, makan dan minum, sarana fasilitas pelengkap lainnya serta jasa bagi umum yang dapat mendukung dan memperlancar kegiatan istirahat para tamu yang bertujuan untuk berwisata/berekreasi di daerah tersebut, dan dikelola secara komersial. Jolopong hotel & resort merupakan jawaban atas kebutuhan akomodasi tesebut dimana jolopong hotel dan resort mengusung tema Neo-Vernakuler. Sesuai dengan namanya Jolopong hotel dan resort terbentuk dari penerapan model bangunan tradisional Jawa Barat yaitu Atap Suhunan Jolopong. Arsitektur jolopong Hotel dan Resort mencoba menyatu-padukan Art dan Science, Craft dan Technology, Internasional dan Local yang merupakan hasil perkembangan sumber daya manusia terhadap arsitektur modern.
