Abstract

The house is a building that functions as providing a sense of security for residents from natural disturbances / other creatures, as well as providing comfort, both thermal comfort and other comforts. But in homes now neglected to pay attention to these comforts, especially homes that are in humid tropical climate conditions. This study aims to determine the thermal performance of building envelopes and their effect on thermal comfort in residential buildings and how to create thermal comfort in buildings with humid tropical climate conditions. The method used is descriptive quantitative. Measurements were made at 12 points for measuring the surface temperature of the wall and 3 points for measuring the temperature of the surface of the floor, tile and ceiling by measuring temperature, humidity, radiation temperature and wind speed. Measurements were carried out from 07.00 to 20.00 with a simulation of the conditions on all open openings and the ASHRAE-55 simulation. From the conclusions obtained by the standards ASHAE-55 replied that the house was not comfortable because it got a hot category in every room. Keyword: Thermal comfort, Thermal Conditions, PMV, PPD Rumah merupakan sebuah bangunan berfungsi sebagai memberikan rasa aman penghuni dari gangguan alam/mahluk lain, serta memberikan kenyamanan, baik kenyaman termal maupun kenyaman yang lain. Namun pada rumah-rumah sekarang sudah abai dalam memperhatikan kenyamanan tersebut, terutama rumah-rumah yang berada pada kondisi iklim tropis lembab. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kinerja termal selubung bangunan dan pengaruhnya terhadap kenyamanan termal pada bangunan rumah tinggal serta bagaimana menciptakan kenyamanan termal dalam bangunan dengan kondisi iklim tropis lembab. Metode yang digunakan adalah Deskriptif kuantatif. Pengukuran dilakukan pada 12 titik untuk pengukuran suhu permukaan dinding dan 3 titik untuk pengukuran suhu permukaan lantai, genteng dan plafon dengan mengukur suhu, kelembaban, suhu radiasi dan kecepatan angin. Pengukuran dilakukan dari pukul 07.00 sampai 20.00 dengan simulasi keadaan pada bukaan terbuka semua dan simulasi ASHRAE-55. Dari kesimpulan didapat dengan standar ASHAE-55 menjawab bahwa rumah tersebut tidak nyaman karna mendapatkan kategori panas pada setaip ruangan nya.
