Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there is a relationship between coping stress and psychological well-being in adolescent PLWHA in Yayasan Merah Muda DKI Jakarta. The sampling was done by purposive sampling technique with 33 subjects. The measuring tool in this study is the Ways of Coping scale compiled based on the coping stress dimensions proposed by Lazarus & Folkman (in Sabrina, 2017) and the psychological well-being scale proposed by Ryff (in Schulz, 2017) that has been adapted and modified by previous researchers. Each scale has a reliability of 0.967 for coping stress and the reliability value on the psychological well-being scale is 0.888. The correlation between coping stress and psychological well-being is 0.493 and significance value 0.004 which means there is a significant correlation between coping stress and psychological well-being in adolescent PLWHA in Yayasan Merah Muda DKI Jakarta. Keywords: coping stress, psychological well-being, people with hiv, adolescent, Jakarta Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah ada hubungan antara coping stress dan psychological well-being pada ODHA remaja di Yayasan Merah Muda DKI Jakarta. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik purposive sampling dengan jumlah subjek sebanyak 33 orang. Alat ukur pada penelitian ini adalah skala Ways of Coping yang disusun berdasarkan dimensi coping stress yang dikemukakan oleh Lazarus & Folkman (dalam Sabrina, 2017) dan skala psychological well-being yang dikemukakan oleh Ryff (dalam Schulz, 2017) yang telah diadaptasi dan dimodifikasi oleh peneliti sebelumnya. Masing-masing skala memiliki reliabilitas sebesar 0,967 untuk coping stress dan nilai reliabilitas pada skala psychological well-being adalah 0,888. Hasil korelasi antara coping stress dan psychological well-being adalah 0,493 dan nilai signifikansi 0,004 yang artinya ada hubungan secara signifikan antara coping stress dan psychological well-being pada ODHA remaja di Yayasan Merah Muda DKI Jakarta.
