Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out whether is a correlation between Big Five and Self Efficacy Personality Type and Work Readiness of final-year Students in Mercu Buana University, Jakarta. The approach taken in this study is a quantitative approach. The subjects in this study are final-year students (semester 8 and 10 who are working on their thesis) in Mercu Buana University Jakarta. The sampling method used is a Proportionate Stratified Random Sampling with n=324. The Big Five Personality Type is measured using a scale consisting of 44 items, while Self Efficacy is measured using a scale consisting of 10 items and work readiness is measured using a scale consisting of 43 items. The data are analyzed using descripstive statistics and product moment correlations. The results show that: 1) Big Five Personality Type is correlated with Work Readiness with correlation of 53.2% (R= 0.532 P=0.000), 2) Self Efficacy is correlated with Work Readiness with a correlation of 48.6% (R= 0.486 P= 0.000). This shows that there is a significant correlation between Big Five and Self Efficacy Personality Type and Work Readiness of final years students in Mercu Buana Univetsity, Jakarta. Keywords : Big Five Personality Type, Self Efficacy, Work Readiness, Students Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk mengetahui apakah ada hubungan antara Tipe Kepribadian Big Five dan Self Efficacy terhadap Kesiapan Kerja Mahasiswa Tingkat Akhir di Universitas Mercu Buana Jakarta. Pendekatan yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kuantitatif. Subjek dalam penelitian ini yaitu mahasiwa tingkat akhir (semester 8 dan 10 yang sedang mengambil skripsi) di Universitas Mercu Buana Jakarta. Metode sampling yang digunakan adalah Proportionate Stratified Random Sampling dengan n=324. Tipe Kepribadian Big Five diukur menggunakan skala yang terdiri dari 44 item, sedangkan Self Efficacy diukur menggunakan skala yang terdiri dari 10 item dan Kesiapan kerja diukur menggunakan skala yang terdiri dari 43 item. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan statistik deskripstif dan korelasi product moment. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) Tipe Kepribadian Big Five berhubungan dengan Kesiapan Kerja dengan korelasi 53,2% (R=0,532 P=0.000), 2) Self Efficacy berhubungan dengan Kesiapan Kerja dengan korelasi 48,6% (R=0,486 P=0,000). Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa adanya korelasi yang signifikan antara Tipe Kepribadian Big Five dan Self Efficacy terhadap kesiapan kerja mahasiswa tingkat akhir di Universitas Mercu Buana Jakarta.
