Abstract

The character of Indonesian folklore is very diverse ranging from the region, culture, body language, to the storyline. The introduction of folklore characters in games is one of the best introductions to Indonesian society at this time, because Indonesian people have entered a phase where digital technology has advanced so rapidly that this has become a major factor where people have begun to gradually forget about Indonesian culture, so that development in games are the best alternative for combining folklore with digital technology today. This design is done by developing an interactive game using a smartphone (android) and laptop or computer as a medium to play interactive folklore games, it is designed not only to introduce Indonesian folklore characters but also to build interactive children's play while playing learn. Keyword: Folklore, Interactive Game, Children Karakter cerita rakyat Indonesia sangat lah beragam mulai dari daerahnya, kebudayaanya, bahasa tubuhnya, hingga pada alur ceritanya. Pengenalan karakter cerita rakyat pada game merupakan salah satu pengenalan terbaik kepada masyarakat Indonesia saat ini, sebab masyarakat Indonesia telah memasuki fase dimana teknologi digital sudah sangat maju dengan pesatnya hal tersebutlah menjadi faktor utama dimana masyarakat sudah mulai sedikit demi sedikit melupakan kebudayan Indonesia, sehingga pengembangan pada game menjadi alternatif terbaik untuk menggabungkan antara cerita rakyat dengan teknologi digital saat ini. Perancangan ini dilakukan dengan mengembangkan sebuah permainan interaktif menggunakan smartphone (android) dan laptop atau computer sebagai media untuk memainkan game interaktif cerita rakyat, hal tersebut dirancang tidak hanya untuk memperkenalkan karakter cerita rakyat Indonesia saja akan tetapi juga untuk membangun interaktif anak-anak dalam bermain sambil belajar.
