Abstract
PT Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indonesia is a subsidiary of Toyota Motor Corporation. Which is engaged in the automotive industry assembling cars with the Toyota trademark. PT TMMIN also produces Toyota vehicle components in the form of spare parts both to meet domestic market demand and meet global market demand (export). One component of spare parts produced is the Upper Arm Suspension part, this part serves as a support for the legs of a car. In producing a part there is a problem that occurs is when the process of painting parts in the ED (electro Desposition) Frame process. In the painting process there are parts that experience defects, Production at PT. Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indonesia still has not achieved zero defect, because there are still defects in the process of painting Upper Arm suspension. This situation can result in increased production costs and a decline in product quality which ultimately reduces profitability. In the process of painting parts have a defect of 1779 during 2017 so the researchers will concentrate more on improving product quality. To improve quality, researchers use the Six Sigma method which consists of five stages. This stage is known as DMAIC which is an abbreviation of the abbreviation for each stage, namely define, measure, analyze, improve, and control. The percentage of Over Coating defects is 40%. DPMO during 2017 is 10525.8. With an average sigma level of 3.8 sigma, this level reaches the average level of manufacturing industry in Indonesia. FMEA results The parts are not precision so that they can be swayed easily when painting RPN 288* Key Words: Quality improvement, Six Sigma, DMAIC PT Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indonesia merupakan anak perusahaan dari Toyota motor Corporation. Yang bergerak di bidang industri otomotif perakitan mobil dengan merek dagang toyota. PT TMMIN juga memproduksi komponen kendaraan Toyota berupa spare part baik untuk memenuhi permintaan pasar domestik maupun memenuhi permintaan pasar global (ekspor). Salah satu komponen sparepart yang diproduksi adalah part Arm Suspension Upper, part ini berfungsi sebagai penunjang kaki-kaki sebuah mobil. Dalam memproduksi sebuah part terdapat suatu Masalah yang yang terjadi adalah ketika dalam proses pengecatan part pada proses ED (electro Desposition) Frame. Pada proses pengecatan terdapat part yang mengalami defect, Produksi di PT. Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indonesia masih belom mencapai zero defect (kecacatan nol), Karena masih ditemui adanya cacat pada proses pengecatan part Arm suspension Upper. Keadaan ini dapat berakibat pada meningkatnya biaya produksi dan penurunan kualitas produk yang pada akhirnya mengurangi profitabilitas. Dalam proses pengecatan part mengalami cacat sebesar 1779 selama tahun 2017 sehingga peneliti akan lebih berkonsentrasi untuk meningkatkan kualitas produk. Untuk meningkatkan kualitas, peneliti menggunakan metode six sigma yang terdiri dari lima tahapan. Tahapan tersebut dikenal dengan DMAIC yang meruapan singkatan singkatan dari masing masing tahapan yaitu define, measure, analyze, improve, dan control. Persentase jenis cacat Over Coating sebesar 40% . DPMO selama Tahun 2017 adalah 10525,8. Dengan tingkatan sigma rata-rata 3,8 sigma yang mana level ini mencapai level rata-rata industri manufaktur di Indonesia. Hasil FMEA Tempat dudukan part tidak presisi sehingga mudah bergoyang saat proses pengecatan RPN 288*. Kata Kunci : Pengendalian Kualitas, Six Sigma, DMAIC
