Abstract
PT. Supreme Cable Manufacturing & Commerce Tbk (SUCACO) is a national company engaged in manufacturing that produces various types of cables, one of them is Aerospace FO Aerial G.652 D STEL K - 017. Problems that occur are when in the process manufacture there are products that have defect because at the time of Production at PT. Supreme Cable Manufacturing & Commerce Tbk there are still products that have not complied with predetermined standards. This situation can result in increased production costs and decreased product quality that ultimately reduce profits for the company. In the process of making the product defect during the year 2016-2017 so that researchers will be more concentrated to improve product quality. To improve the quality, researchers used the six sigma method consisting of five stages. The stage is known as DMAIC which bribes the abbreviations stands for each of the stages of define, measure, analyze, improve, and control. There are 4 types of defects based on data processing, ie defect type of rough cable with 24.9% percentage, imperfect printing percentage 16.4%, 44.6% off and 44.1% off fiber buffer with 14.1%. Then for the sigma value in the product proccessed process diketauhi amounted to 3.63 during the period. Based on the FMEA table Part Wire Metal Connector on outer sheath machine is not working optimally is the cause of defect product with the value of highest RPN score. Based on the research that has been done, it can be concluded that the type of iron defect of the detached buffer which is the dominant defect with a percentage of 44.6%. While the factors that cause defects are 4 factors: human, machine, material and method. Then the improvement proposal that can be given is to check the machine especially on the outer sheath machine, more routinely perform machine maintenance, provide training to workers to improve work skills. SUCACO) adalah perusahaan nasional yang bereka di bidang manufaktur yang memproduksi berbagai jenis – jenis kabel, salah satunya adalah Kabel FO Aerial G.652 D STEL K – 017. Masalah yang terjadi adalah ketika dalam proses pembuatannya terdapat produk yang mengalami defect karena pada saat Produksi di PT. Supreme Cable Manufacturing & Commerce Tbk masih terdapat produk yang belum sesuai standar yang telah ditentukan. Keadaan ini dapat berakibat pada meningkatnya biaya produksi dan penurunan kualitas produk yang pada akhirnya mengurangi profit bagi perusahaan. Dalam proses pembuatan produk mengalami defect selama tahun 2016-2017 Untuk meningkatkan kualitas, peneliti menggunakan metode six sigma yang terdiri dari lima tahapan. Tahapan tersebut dikenal dengan DMAIC yang meruapan singkatan singkatan dari masing- masing tahapan yaitu define, measure, analyze, improve, dan control. Diketauhi ada 4 jenis defect berdasarkan pengolahan data, yaitu jenis defect Kulit kabel kasar dengan persentase 24,9%, printing tidak sempurna persentase 16.4%, besi penyangga lepas 44,6% dan fiber putus dengan persentase 14,1%. Lalu untuk nilai sigma pada proses prosuksi produk diketauhi sebesar 3,63 selama periode tersebut. Berdasarkan tabel perhitungan FMEA Part Wire Metal Connector pada mesin outer sheath tidak bekerja secara optimal merupakan penyebab produk defect dengan nilai RPN tertinggi. Berdasarkan peneleitian yang sudah dilakukan maka dapat ditarik kesimpulan yaitu jenis defect besi penyangga terlepas yang merupakan defect dominan dengan persentase 44,6%. Sedangkan faktor yang menyebakan defect ada 4 faktor yaitu manusia, mesin, material dan metode. Lalu usulan perbaikan yang dapat diberikan adalah pengecekan mesin tertuama pada mesin outer sheath, lebih rutin melakukan perawatan mesin secara berkala, memberikan pelatihan kepada pekerja untuk meningkatkan ketrampilan berkerja.
