Abstract
This This study aims to determine whether there is a negative relationship between Gratitude and Job Stress on Employees in DKI Jakarta. The research method used is quantitative with a correlation approach. The sample in this study amounted to 129 employees in DKI Jakarta with an age limit of 18 to 64 years, this study used used data (used trials). Measuring tools for gratitude variables using adapted and dimfication scales from the scale of The Gratitude Questionnaire-6 (GQ-6) compiled by McCullough, Emmons, and Tsang (2001), whereas in the work stress variables using a scale adapted and mofied from Previous research by Stephanie (2008) was constructed based on the symptoms of work stress according to Robbins (2003) with incidental sampling. The results showed that there was a significant negative relationship between gratitude and work stress on employees in DKI Jakarta, this was based on the results obtained by Pearson correlation of -0.258 with significance (p) of = 0.003, but it was also found that there were no significant differences in variables gratitude and work stress between male and female respondents. Keywords: gratitude, work stress, employees Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat hubungan negatif antara Gratitude dan Stres Kerja pada Karyawan di DKI Jakarta. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan pendekatan korelasi. Sampel pada penelitian ini berjumlah 129 orang karyawan di DKI Jakarta dengan batas usia 18 sampai 64 tahun, penelitian ini menggunakan data terpakai (uji coba terpakai). Alat ukur untuk variabel gratitude menggunakan skala yang diadaptasi dan dimofikasi dari skala The Gratitude Questionnaire–6 (GQ-6) yang disusun oleh McCullough, Emmons, dan Tsang (2001), sedangkan pada variabel stres kerja menggunakan skala yang di adaptasi dan di mofikasi dari penelitian sebelumnya oleh Stephanie (2008) dikonstruk berdasarkan gejala-gejala stres kerja menurut Robbins (2003) dengan pengambilan sampel sampling insidental. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat hubungan negatif yang signifikan antara gratitude dan stres kerja pada karyawan di DKI Jakarta, hal ini berdasarkan didapatkannya hasil korelasi Pearson sebesar -0,258 dengan signifikansi (p) sebesar = 0,003, selain itu ditemukan pula bahwa tidak ada perbedaan yang signifikan pada variabel gratitude dan stres kerja antara responden pria maupun wanita.
