Abstract

The aim of this study is to determine whether there is a relationship between religiosity and self-control among adolescents in Cilincing, North Jakarta. Research was done by incidental sampling’s technique within 100 of participants. The Measurement tool in this research is a Religiosity Scales based on the dimensions of religiosity proposed by Glock and Stark (in Ancok and Suroso, 2011) and self-control scales based on self-control dimensions presented by (Tangney, Baumester, & Boone, 2004). Each scale has their reliability of 0.895 for religiosity and 0.832 for value of self control. The results showed the correlation coefficient value of 0.309 with significance of 0.002, meaning there is a significant relationship between religiosity with selfcontrol among adolescents in Cilincing North Jakarta . Keywords: religiosity, self control, adolescent, Islam, Cilincing Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah ada hubungan antara religiusitas dengan self control pada remaja di daerah Cilincing Jakarta Utara. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik insidental sampling dengan jumlah subjek sebanyak 100 orang. Alat ukur pada penelitian ini adalah skala religiusitas yang disusun berdasarkan dimensi religiusitas yang dikemukakan oleh Glock dan Stark (dalam Ancok dan Suroso, 2011) dan skala self control yang disusun berdasarkan dimensi self control yang dikemukakan oleh (Tangney, Baumester, & Boone, 2004). Masing-masing skala memiliki reliabilitas sebesar 0.895 untuk religiusitas dan nilai reliabilitas pada skala self control adalah 0,832 Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh menunjukkan nilai koefisiensi korelasi 0,309 dengan signifikansi sebesar 0,002 artinya ada hubungan yang signifikan antara religiusitas dengan self control pada remaja di Cilincing Jakarta Utara Kata kunci: religiusitas, self control, remaja, Islam, cilincing
