Abstract

Abstract -- This final project is the development of ideas or concepts from the results of 3D printer machines made by Mechanical Engineering Students of Mercu Buana University. As one solution to the desire to improve the rapid prototyping process at the University of Mercu Buana University in Jakarta. This final project aims to facilitate the work system of making prototype products quickly with a programmed electronic system. In designing this 3D printer machine using SolidWorks 2016 design software to create detailed design models and drawings (2D details) along with Simplify 3D analysis and software to run 3D printer machine work commands with the G-Code program language. The stages in this design are to determine the type of workpiece to be moved, concept making, design modeling, design design determination. From the analysis of existing designs, the trial of 3D printer machines is periodically conducted, so that the results of the analysis and 3D printer machine program run optimally. Keywords : 3Dprinter, Slicer, G-Code, Mechanical Design, Motor Stepper Tugas akhir ini merupakan pengembangan ide atau konsep dari hasil mesin printer 3D yang dibuat Mahasiswa Teknik Mesin Universitas Mercu Buana. Sebagai salah satu solusi atas keinginan untuk melakukan peningkatan terhadap proses rapid prototyping di Perguruan Tinggi Swasta Universitas Mercu Buana Jakarta. Tugas akhir ini bertujuan untuk mempermudah sistem kerja pembuatan produk prototipe secara cepat dengan sistem elektronika yang telah terprogram. Pada perancangan mesin printer 3D ini menggunakan software design SolidWorks 2016 untuk membuat model desain dan gambar detail (2D detail) beserta analisa dan software Simplify 3D untuk menjalankan perintah kerja mesin printer 3D dengan bahasa program G-Code. Tahapan dalam perancangan ini adalah dengan menentukan jenis benda kerja yang akan di pindahkan, pembuatan konsep, pembuatan model desain, penentuan detail desain. Dari analisis desain yang sudah ada dilakukan trial pergerakan mesin printer 3D secara berkala, agar hasil dari analisa dan program mesin printer 3D berjalan maksimal.
