Abstract

Televisi adalah salah satu alat komunikasi media massa yang mempunyai pengaruh yang sangat besar terhadap masyarakat, dimana televisi bersaing menyuguhkan program untuk menarik simpati audiens, salah satu program yang ditawarkan adalah Feature dan dokumenter. Program Feature dokumenter diproduksi dan disiarkan adalah Situs-Situs. Pokok permasalahan yang akan diteliti dalam penelitian ini adalah memaparkan bagaimana strategi produksi yang dilakukan pada program feature dokumenter Situs-Situs di Lembaga Penyiaran Publik TVRI, dalam memberikan program acara berkualitas bersifat informasi dan mendidik. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengungkapkan strategi produksi dalam memproduksi program feature dokumenter Situs-Situs, dan mengungkapkan strategi produksi yang diterapkan tim produksi dalam rangka meningkatkan kualitas program feature dokumenter Situs-Situs yang dapat mencerdaskan kehidupan bangsa. Untuk mengeksplor Strategi produksi program Situs-Situs pada proses produksi mulai tahap pra produksi, produksi, pasca produksi, diteliti secara sistimatis dengan Teory unsur Manajemen perencanaan, pengorganisasian, penggerakan, pengawasan terhadap kualitas produksi program Situs-Situs. Metode yang digunakan adalah studi deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif eksploratif bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan hasil penelitian dengan menyimpulkan hasil observasi di lapangan dan hasil wawancara mendalam kepada para informan yaitu Tim Produksi Situs-Situs yang terlibat langsung dan para produser dan pengarah acara di lingkungan TVRI. Walaupun terjadi kesenjanggan antara kondisi ideal dan riil tim produksi situs-situs menerapkan strategi pada tiga tahap proses produksi, sehingga hasil produksi Situs-Situs tetap memenuhi Standar Operasional Prosedur (SOP). Strategi yang diterapkan tim situs-situs adalah: Tema dan materi, tim produksi melakukan observasi data lewat browsing internet serta berkoordinasi dengan Departemen Pariwisata dan Kebudayaan setempat. Agar program tetap berjalan dengan baik sesuai perencanaan Tim produksi situs-situs menyiapkan peralatan milik pribadi untuk mendukung peralatan yang ada, Television is one of mass media communication device that has great influence to society, in which television stations compete to create programs to attract audiens's sympathy, one of those programs is Feature and documentary. One of Feature documentary programs that is produced and broadcast is ‘Situs- Situs’ (Sites). The subject which will be analyzed in this research is to explain how the production strategy conducted to create those feature documentary program ‘Situs-Situs’ (Sites) at Public Broadcasting Institute TVRI to give qualify programs which are informative and educational. The objective of this reaearch is to explain the production strategy which are applied to produce by production team to increase the quality of the feature documentary program Sites, which can educate the nation. To explore the production Strategy of ‘Situs-Situs’ ( Sites) from the stages of pre- production, production, post production processes. Those processes are analyzed by systematically using the Theory element Management Planning, Organizing, Actuating, Controlling to the quality of the production of ‘ Situs-Situs programs. The method used in this research is descriptive study with the qualitative and explorative approach. These approaches explain clearly the outcome of the research by making conclusions to all the outcome of the field observation and in depth interviews to the informen involed in the production such as the Sites Production Teams and besides that, the interviews with producers and event directors at TVRI. Although discrepancies happen between the ideal condition and the real situation, the production team apply strategies on stages of pre- production, production, post production, so that the results of the ‘Situs-Situs’ (Sites) production still fulfill the Standard Operational Procedures (SOP). Strategies applied by ‘Situs-Situs’ (Sites) team are: Theme and material, production team observe data through browsing the internet and coordinate with the local Tourism Department and Culture. ‘Situs-Situs’ (Sites) production teams prepare their personal belongings and equipments so that the production process runs as planned.
