Abstract
Information technology development has shifted consumption patterns from conventional media to digital platforms like Instagram. The @abouttng account serves as a crucial local information medium for the Tangerang community amidst rapid digital information flows. This research is driven by followers' dependence on digital content to satisfy their daily information needs. The objective of this study is to analyze the influence of @abouttng's Instagram content on fulfilling followers' information needs. This study applies the Uses and Gratifications theory, viewing the audience as active participants in selecting media to achieve specific goals. The primary focus is the extent to which presented content provides informational satisfaction to followers. The methodology utilizes a quantitative approach with a survey method. The sampling technique employed purposive sampling of 100 active followers of the @abouttng account. Data were collected via questionnaires and analyzed using simple linear regression and coefficient of determination tests via SPSS software.
